Re: Western Indians Coach

Congrats to Dave! He is the right choice for the job. He has paid his dues and is certainly worthy of a head coaching opportunity. I just hope he will not be judged entirely on wins and losses next year, as the program will be in a major rebuilding mode due to graduation. A multi-year contract, or a...

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"

Contrary to the opinion of a few individuals I will continue to post if and when I feel the need to dismiss a rumor that could have a negative impact on our school or programs.

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"

Here are the FACTS to date. Obviously no one has been hired, but even more importantly no one has been told they have the job. Contrary to what some are saying no one has been offered the job. We have not even had a face to face conversation with any candidate yet. We did earlier contact 2 individua...

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"

Ironman92, You are right. That's why I looked on this thread - so I could see who applied, who is being interviewed, when it is all going to happen, and who the frontrunners for the job are. Plus, with no games in the last week I got bored! You, my friend, should be giving out spelling words instead...

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"

Off of the top of my head the Ohio candidates were from Chillicothe Waverly Gallipolis Lucasville Sciotoville Jackson - not on the current staff I believe there were 9 or 10 others that were from Ohio but not so local. Some of these guys DO NOT have prior head coaching experience ( so you can't assu...

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"

Neither Reynolds nor Wooten applied for the job.

The applicant pool recently went from a national pool ( candidates from 9 other states ) to an international pool, as a coach from Nova Scotia has also applied.
