Re: schedule for Notre Dame in 2011
I wouldn't think Valley would want this match up. If they lose, they leave themselves open to much criticism. If they win, they don't really gain much because ND is a division smaller. Huntington Ross may get beat bad by Valley, but they are Division 5. It benefits Valley more to play them.

Re: schedule for Notre Dame in 2011
Sure... You confirmed what I said about Valley. They did go 10-0 and not get in when only 4 teams per region got in... I specifically stated Division 6 teams. Division 5 teams apply to this particular topic. We are talking about Valley specifically because they have done a good job in the past of wi...

Re: schedule for Notre Dame in 2011
dirt_cinders... The Valley teams you referenced that went 10-0 and didn't make the playoffs, were in a time when they only took the top 4 teams in each region. As I stated earlier, there has not been a Division 6 team in the past 2 years to go 10-0, 9-1 or 8-2 and not make the playoffs. However, I d...

Re: schedule for Notre Dame in 2011
I didn't say it was impossible. It happens every few years as good groups of kids, in terms of numbers, come through and mature. Coach McKnight had some good seasons, as have other past ND coaches. Bob Ashley's 2000 team beat Minford, Oak Hill, Valley and West. But to win and get into the playoffs c...

Re: schedule for Notre Dame in 2011
footballcrazy... Can you provide a Division 6 football team with a record of 8-2 or 9-1 that didn't get in the playoffs the past 2 seasons? Have you ever played on a football team with 25 players? I agree with what you said about fighting through adversity, but making the playoffs with a tough sched...

4th n Goal... I assumed the enrollment numbers to be correct because all of the coaching changes at ND had been updated on the website.
Yes, they all dress, and some play. When you are that limited on numbers, everybody 9th grade and above has to ready for action.

newarkcatholicfan... I agree. However, ND only has 36 boys in the school. I would think Green being a county school has more than that.

Oak Hill offense... 1. Student body left with #32 carrying it. 2. Student Body right with #32 carrying it. 3. #10 throws it 30 yards downfield to #2.

Re: ...and the new Notre Dame Titans Head Coach is...
I should say that I am not slamming players. Those are all good kids at ND and give their all. And they do have talent across the board...
But I think they need someone that is going to them in the best situation to win football games, and I don't think the offense being run is that.

Re: ...and the new Notre Dame Titans Head Coach is...
If this spread system is so successful, then why does it take an offensive line 38 quarters to figure it out?
Why is Coach Sammons no longer running this at Greenup County?
It doesn't sound very practical or fitting to me...

Re: ...and the new Notre Dame Titans Head Coach is...
Anyone who knows anything about ND knows that the school's football program is built on being undersized, fundamentally sound, and playing harder than every other team. Dive, Counter, Lead, Play Action when you catch the defense off balance. After watching this past season, the words pass and playof...
