This hire was done because of the union contract. The board didn’t want to hire an outside candidate and have to still pay the internal candidates that applied the stipend for the position. What you guys are talking about in regards to starting practice later sounds good on paper, but in reality, would be a nightmare. If I’m a head coach, and I am liable for everything that goes on in the program, and I can’t be there for the first hour and a half - that’s a bad situation for everybody...

Your quality control can only be stretched so many ways….the more time you spend as a play caller, the less time you spend on the rest of the operation. At some point, you need to analyze what you’re getting vs what you’re giving up.

It can still be your scheme, your flavor….
