Re: 2025 OVC Football
Just a few months away from hearing the pads cracking. What are everyone's thoughts on the upcoming season, conference wise? Who's returning what, at least 2 new coaching staffs for the upcoming season, and what transfers are teams gaining and/or losing? How about OOC schedule changes? Anyone chang...

Re: Gallia HC out?
Saw that Ironton scheduled the Academy. Whomever signs these contract's really believes the athletic programs are setup to do well in the city, just not in football, but track and volleyball are the priority to succeed. It’s like football has been sabotaged. One would think all programs would have ...

Re: IRONTON'S OPEN DATES, SUGGESTIONS
Martinsburg, maybe a big time Kentucky school like Trinity or see if Watterson or Hartley will play ball. Maybe schedule up even further and go for a battle of the Tigers with Massillon. That’s definitely some tough competition. I like playing Hartley, they’re normally pretty tough, they seemed to ...

Re: Gallia HC out?
Here's an idea. Instead of immediately moving to fire the coach, maybe fire the AD, since he can't seem to keep a good coach around. Also he's a big d-bag as a person. Hated him as a teacher, as a coach, and still hate him as a person.

Re: Gallia HC out?
I know it's not Rich. Rich is a family man and big in the Church. He just wouldn't have the time, which, I believe, is why he stepped down in the first place.
Who is it that people are talking about?

Gallia. They have relatively recent history with Hillsboro, Courthouse, and are longtime rivals with Chilli and Jackson. Gallia and Logan if they're looking to add two. Or Gallia and Waverly

I'd love it if Rich took the job again. Rich is a good man and a hell of a baseball coach.

Until Adam Clark gets shown the door, I don't see much changing around Gallipolis. Didn't like him as a teacher. Don't like him as a person. Hate him as the AD.FrostBite42 wrote: Tue Feb 25, 2025 10:07 am Hopefully the AD leaves him be to run his program the right way.
LOOK AROUND.

Re: Gallia HC out?
Coach Jarell is going to prove a lot of people wrong I hope so, gotta give a guy a shot. Same, dude. What GA needs more than anything else is a guy who can get the kids to come out for football. Much as I hate to say it, soccer is killing football at GA. XC takes a few speedsters who could make a r...

Re: Gallia HC out?
He related to Wes and Wade? GA could definitely use a shot in the arm from some familiar faces. Have to imagine Wade could call a decent offense, with being a 3 or 4 year varsity starter at QB.

Re: Create a Conference for fun
Fort Frye to Gallia, Sheridan, or Logan is still a better trip than Woodsfield or Beallsville Hillsboro though? Lol - yeah, Hillsboro would be the crazy outlier in that league. My family used to camp there every year, and you can hardly get there from the south. Fort to Portsmouth wouldn'...

Re: Gallia HC out?
Give this guy a chance. Gallia had some nice looking skill guys to start the season but injuries bit them like a piranha feeding frenzy. Young team that needs a steady coaching presence to develop. Hopefully this cat stays a while and the kids take to him. Too much tradition at GA to keep running c...

Re: Gallia HC out?
Certain folks in the community need to let the coach COACH. That's why he's the coach. That's his job. It's in the name. But certain folks like R.T. can't get that through their thick skulls. A coach isn't supposed to be your best buddy.. He's supposed to be tough on you and get the best out of you....

Re: Gallia HC out?
This coach wasn't ran out of town. Basically walked in quit his teaching position and resigned and left. He was set up to fail from the beginning. Why would you hire a guy to run a program that had never even been a coordinator only a position coach. Seems to me like he was hired kind of out of spi...
