Re: Warren Coaching Job
Heard we dropped Athens ?? Was hoping they kept them on the schedule! Don’t think so. Wouldn’t make sense to drop someone now, the odds of filling that slot would be virtually zero. Heard they wasn’t on the schedule not that they just dropped them . Here’s the schedule: Wk 1: Circleville (A) Wk 2: ...

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Point, John Marshall, and Independence (one year contract, so no return trip). Independence won the state in 2022 and went 8-4 last year. Hopefully this is the last year JM is on there. Would be great to fill the JM and Independence slots with Ohio teams.

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Everyone has an opinion, I’d take the miller, spradlin, cougil, salyers team over any of the ones mentioned, didn’t some of those teams play each other? Miller would have been a freshmen or sophomore when Gagai and Waginger were at Ironton. Spradlin might have been a freshmen or 8th grader. They we...

Re: TVC and TSL merger
Morgan is getting pummeled in the big MVL don’t tell me they wouldn’t be better off in TSL. Logan and Morgan are just kidding with themselves. Morgan had a recent flurry of some success in the small school with a few coaches, Bowman being a big one in football as an alum...... He stepped away, then...

Re: TVC and TSL merger
Morgan is getting pummeled in the big MVL don’t tell me they wouldn’t be better off in TSL. Logan and Morgan are just kidding with themselves. Would be a way better competitive fit for both schools. Logan has no hope of winning anything in the major sports, ever, barring something miraculous happen...

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Wasn’t Harold an AD at Glenville St? That’s a college the last time I checked. Why did he leave there? Maybe we don’t want to know. Maybe he’s too qualified to be at the high school level? Maybe he overthinks his football hires. Or, just maybe, you have no idea what you’re talking about and have a ...

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Warren Football doesn’t exactly have the winning tradition pedigree for there to be a pool of football genius alumni living in the community. The memory of winless seasons should still be fresh for many— Payton ruffled some feathers and Kimes was also short-lived, but their combined short tenures a...

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Isn’t Steve who hired Peyton? Wouldn’t put too much trust in him. Peyton has bounced around more than kids in the college transfer portal. Better let someone else pick your next coach. Sure, let’s not trust the judgment of a guy who, in all honestly, should be working at the college level and is hi...

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Mike Kupfner, Parkersburg HS defensive coordinator, is a name that could apply. He applied in 2019 in the same cycle as Kimes and was close to getting the job. Would not be surprised to see his name at all.

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Now that they are suppose to be eliminating the assistant AD position, choice of a new coach will be more limited. The new choice will have to be a retired coach, current school employee, employee at another school or someone who can fill any retirements. Didn’t know if this was a sure thing or not...

Re: Warren Coaching Job
They’ll get a good applicant pool once again if I had to guess. Steve Harold has yet to hire a “bad coach.” People have their complaints with every coach, that’s how it goes. It’s impossible to please everyone. But I will say this: Compare the last three coaches we’ve had to the two that preceded th...

Jason Schob if they look local. Was starting to have success at Marietta, he’s from the area, and would likely be in it to stay. That’s the most important factor in my opinion, is the willingness to stay long term. Hate to see Jimmy go, but if it’s an opportunity for the family, can’t knock a guy f...

Re: 2025 TVC Ohio
I had Marietta in there twice for some reason. You could bump up Athens and Alexander get rid of oak hill totally and still have the same situation. Absolutely plenty of crossover possibility for each division to fill the first 3-5 weeks of the year and would basically blanket all of SEO. I didn’t ...
