Re: State Semi-Finals: Portsmouth Vs. Fairland @ The Convo
Thank goodness they ended up getting this right. What an absolute joke that this game was going to be played at Logan High School. The location should have always been OU Athens as it is. This game being played at OU rewards both teams for phenomenal seasons. The crowd should be huge but at the end ...

Re: Fairland 65 South Webster 47 a final ...
Brody Buchanan is so good on both ends of the floor he is IMO the best player in Southern Ohio but most importantly he is a great teammate and when your best player is also your leader it makes this team tough to beat. The growth this year from Trevor Lochow-Cliff Fransen and Gabe Polcyn from the fi...

Re: 2024-25 Fairland Dragons (2-0 | 1-0 OVC)
Kam Barnitz went 9-16 on 3s that night and just missed tying the school record of 10 that Emily Chapman holds. Great shooting night for the Lady Dragons the ball movement right now is looking great as they are setting up a ton of great looks for the shooters.

Re: Chesapeake Head Coaching Search
Any official names yet? I have heard one name as a rumor here in Proctorville that I think would be a huge move. The Peake job should be a good job. The P3 program they have built in with the school is great. I know Coach Knipp had the kids following a workout program they were working with AP Prep...

Re: Chesapeake Head Coaching Search
I know that it was posted formally last week. Multiple Chesapeake School Board Members posted it and shared it on their facebook pages and to social media with the formal posting. I haven’t heard any names yet tho. Peake can be a good job for the right guy. They have great buy in at the youth league...

Re: Southeastern Football
SE it seems one of those jobs that when they have talent they have a lot of talent and can be very good. Unfortunately it seems all too often they seem to be starting over and rebuilding a program with a new coach. Hopefully they find a guy who can build the program and get buy in from players and f...

Re: Waverly used to be Black and Gold?
Coach DeWitt had Waverly rocking them jerseys. I remember it during the 2002-2003 seasons they had those fresh black and Vegas Gold uniforms. Looked sharp then remember they had to go back to orange and black didn’t know it wasn’t approved but yes they looked great.

Re: Rio Grande Football Coaching Change
Really hope the program does well. Could be a great landing spot for so many local kids looking for a chance to play college football and not wanting to be too far from home.

Rio Grande Football Coaching Change
I just saw that Quincy Wilson is out at Rio Grande already. They have named his replacement: the DC Thurston now takes over. How was Rio doing recruiting the southern Ohio area this fall? Does anyone know what happened this coaching change happened quick and now the program hasn’t even started their...

Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
lol.. there isnt nil money in hs coaching the football coach will get paid the step on the salary schedule. many schools can also include a weight room coordinator position which adds to the income but is again, a step on the salary scale. money isnt going to be an attractive thing to bring someone...

Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Also Hearing Chillicothe is slowing the process way down and trying to make the right choice and also trying to put a package together to get the best candidate to town. Sparta decision from the board. Let’s make the right choice here. I’m in the community. It is going to take a players coach. Not ...

Re: Fairland vs West muskingdom
West Muskingum had a great gameplan they executed all night long. The kids played great assignment football. They were calling out the plays before they were coming. They were so prepared to stop what Fairland was going to do on offense and attack the defense with a balanced offense. The onside kick...

Re: Fairland vs West muskingdom
Besides Ironton this will be the best team Fairland has played all year. This game is simple tonight I think the team that wins the turnover battle and wins the money downs will win the game. These are both talented teams with a lot of great players. Both teams have a lot of guys who are playing in ...

Re: Fairland vs West muskingdom
West Muskingum is a darn good football team. I love what they do on offense. 10 is a stud dude is a hard runner and he can make plays in the passing game. 14 is a solid QB can tell the years of being the starter has paid off looks so much more polished as a passer. His poise is key. He processes the...

Re: Fairland vs West muskingdom
West Muskingum and Fairland in round 2 should be a good game. Have to think Wall is feeling confident again after last week he was basically playing pitch and catch. Catching the snap and getting the ball out on the edges to Smith-Graham-Collins-Hayden. If WM doesn’t come out and press on the edges ...

Re: Region 19 Zane Trace (6-4) at Fairland (9-1)
Ethan Wall 30-35 for 302 and 2 touchdowns Friday night. Fairland used the screen game all over the field. The fact that ZT refused to come up and press the Fairland WR group at all was crazy. Wall was playing pitch and catch all night. Fairland winning this game by 30 is super impressive not only di...
