Re: Open Coaching Jobs

Well, since I am old or should I say older and no longer play basketball, I guess it would be up to my child if they wanted to play for a coach. I would never force my opinions about this on my kid or anyone else. I will admit to also stirring the pot a little. It is just so much fun to argue with y...

Re: Open Coaching Jobs

Not sure why you are so hostile assassin. I would never encourage a child to quit. I am all for team work, team leading and everyone having a role. I don't think parents or kids should ever complain about playing time. All I meant, is if it comes to that and the kid is not happy then maybe they sho...

Re: Open Coaching Jobs

West Side Pride. I am all for parents coaching their kids at home or on a non-school affiliated team. Just don't agree with the parent coaching at school, for many reasons. Just my opinion. You are right, the cream does rise to the top. Back to the original theme here. Whoever gets the job will have...

Re: Open Coaching Jobs

I didn't say anything about playing time. That is a coach's decision and shouldn't have to be discussed or complained about if the coach is doing his job correctly. Don't like your playing time, you can always quit. I don't have a problem with that at this point. I only expressed my own opinion that...

Re: Open Coaching Jobs

I do not believe that a coach should have a child on his/her team, especially at the HS level. It has to effect the coach's judgement and I , just like everyone else have seen it. Sometimes not hard enough on the kid, sometimes too hard. Just don't agree with it and never will. As for Falconburger's...

Re: Open Coaching Jobs

I remember about 4 years ago in the girl's district semi game the pretty well favored team led by about 10 at the half and the underdog team came out and won the game by a decent margin.....funny thing is that underdog team had their coach quit/resign right before the tournament.....so the Dad of t...

Re: Open Coaching Jobs

I would hope Jackson would look a little deeper than Ridout, and I'm sure they will. They need someone with Varsity level experience that has coached more than the same 5 girls for the last few years. Jr. high AAU experience is good. But, Varsity level is a little different, lots of players with AAU...
