Re: Cincinnati Reds 2025
Reds hitting falling up towards average. Reds pitching falling down to average. Average points to 81 wins and another missed post season . Of course intermingled will be win streaks and losing streaks mixed with enough great player performances to keep us interested in the Reds until August. I hope ...

Re: Former Wright State Forward Brandon Noel Transfers to Ohio State
We hope he can contribute, but it does make you wonder why TOSU under Holtmann and now Diebler cannot attract decent enough talent to make the field of 64. The resources are there, bug does the commitment from exist from Admin?

Apparently a young man from Lucasville. Hope it works out better for him than it did for Tanner Holden.

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
"Much like the Ironton’s and Burgs out there he can go elsewhere and experience so much more success than what he’s going to have at Waverly." See I view this as part of the problem at Waverly. I'm not attacking Tigernation2021 just making an observation. The Alexander kid is talented but...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
Waverly has the best gym in the SE district. Well up to date weight room and other nice amenities. The right person that WANTS to take this job can do great things That would be true if all stakeholders in the program buys into that person's vision. Parents, administrators, and players must be sold...

Re: Cincinnati Reds 2025
Too early to panic, but Francona has his work cut out for him in breaking the Red's mentality of finding ways to lose games.

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
Is there a timeline on when the hiring decision is made?
Does the position need filled no later than early May to allow the new leader to transition into the summer/preseason program activities?

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
First, Waverly is more in my area so I’m a little more interested in their sports. I’m sure Coach Robertson is interested in the job because they have talent coming up through the ranks. But I would be surprised if Waverly administration would consider him a realistic candidate. Most people remembe...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
How did this topic get sidetracked. This is about Waverly’s coaching opening, not about players transferring. This is the problem with society. People try to encourage kids to run from their problems instead of find ways to deal with them. People/Parents thinking that running from problems is showi...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
Eastern recruiting Waverly to stay alive per usual I hope they recruit some of those Unioto players that live in Stockdale too! B.Fitch and K.Alexander would make a great duo next year and make a run in d6! IF Fitch and Alexander went to Eastern that then top off the 6-6 QB playing his senior year ...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
Very enticing job, especially if all stay. They will get some big names to apply is my guess. Enticing in terms of facility and occasional past success, but from the outside looking in, is the program in such a state among all its stakeholders that the red flags will make it hard to fill the job? I...

Re: FAC Looking to Expand..
Lost in the fun discussion is a solution. Ohio should do away with conferences as the organizational building block of high school sports scheduling and go to district play scheduling like Kentucky. That would ruin HS AD's dream of being Pete Rozelle and remove a pithy topic on sports forums, but if...

Canisius out NY was 9-3 last season and Liberty Christian out of VA was 14-0 so the Tigers will be tested.

Congrats?
It is a shame Rio, Shawnee, Marietta, and even Ohio U don't have a bigger following in SE Ohio.

Re: FAC Looking to Expand..
Didn't Chillicothe belong to the OCC at one time or some other Columbus league? Would the OCC really want to travel to Chillicothe or Miami Trace? They complained enough about going to Logan when all they had to do was get on R33. I think there are not many schools wanting to get in a league with J...

Re: FAC Looking to Expand..
If Waverly would be looking for a change, the SVC would make sense in competitiveness, culture, and travel. Bigger, as in the FAC, is not always better for a school whose athletics are not exactly on a ascending path.

Matt Patricia new Buckeye DC. Kind of an underwhelming hire, but maybe his experience can bridge the gap until Matt Guerrieri is ready to solo.

Re: 2025 Ohio State Football
Tyler Bowen from VPI will be Ohio State's new offensive line coach. Not a big name hire but in Ryan Day we must trust.
