Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
I’m not pushing no false narratives them are facts! I heard that from two different families from Waverly and one of the players. I also seen screenshots of moms getting on social media calling out other moms etc… As far as beating Jackson in the tournament you know the reason why Waverly beat Jack...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
EPN, You are exactly right in the fact we could debate this topic all day long. As far as comparing schools, I don't figure I will ever change your mind (and that is not my goal) and I know you will never change my mind on the topic. So you can agree to disagree. But I'm not on a public forum trying...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
Facilities yes they’re nicer. Baseball program a lot better not even close. Weight room nicer probably so. Basketball talent returning is a toss up IMO. What about culture though? I have heard a lot noise coming from Waverly in football and basketball and it’s the good noise either. I’ve heard that...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
EagleNut, Great try at recruiting but if you have to get on a message board to try and convince people the grass is greener on the Eastside than it really isn’t. Most people know this fact. Anybody that does their own homework on the two schools own better. I don’t have a dog in this fight but for 9...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
"Much like the Ironton’s and Burgs out there he can go elsewhere and experience so much more success than what he’s going to have at Waverly." See I view this as part of the problem at Waverly. I'm not attacking Tigernation2021 just making an observation. The Alexander kid is talented but ...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
I'm not arguing but I've been told just the opposite. I've been told that everybody is staying and that the Alexander kid is definitely staying because of baseball. They said baseball is a priority for him. The middle division of the SOC would not be a good move for his developement and the past cou...

Is there any names associated with this opening? I try to keep up with Ross County basketball but I have not heard anything about this opening.

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
I stated earlier in this post, I think the logical person for the job would be Doug Williams. That is if Coach Williams is interested in the position. I say that becasue Waverly is a tough place to coach and unless you have ties to Pike County or the Waverly School System then its tough to establish...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
I don’t know so somebody, please fill me in. I was told the Webb kid was from Jackson. Is that true? Alexander will stay at Waverly and clement his name as one of Pike Co.’s better all-round athletes. His best sport is baseball and he is not going to play baseball for any school in Pike Co. except W...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
How did this topic get sidetracked. This is about Waverly’s coaching opening, not about players transferring. This is the problem with society. People try to encourage kids to run from their problems instead of find ways to deal with them. People/Parents thinking that running from problems is showin...

Re: Who will be the next Waverly head coach?
First, Waverly is more in my area so I’m a little more interested in their sports. I’m sure Coach Robertson is interested in the job because they have talent coming up through the ranks. But I would be surprised if Waverly administration would consider him a realistic candidate. Most people remember...

Re: South Webster vs Cornerstone Christan at ODU 3/14/25
First, Congrats to SW on a very good year! Even thou the tournament went to 7 division, it’s still a great accomplishment to make the state semi-finals.
Congrats to CCA on the upset. Kwasniak was as good as advertised. CCA was able to keep the tempo to their liking! Great coaching move.

Re: South Webster vs Cornerstone Christan at ODU 3/14/25
South Webster should win this game. It will be a huge upset if they don't. CCA has one outstanding player but they do not have anybody to go along with him. Kwasniak will get his points but they will not have enough to keep up with SW.

Re: Purple panthers vs purple riders
Cheapeake is definitely the heavy favorite but I'm not sure it will be a blowout. Martin Ferry is playing with "House Money". At 14-11 Ferry is probably just excited to still be playing. Sometimes that works for you and sometimes it works against you. The longer Martin Ferry can hang aroun...

Re: Jeeps vs Patriot Prep 3/6/25
Jeeps will name your score in this contest. Notre Dame beat this team by 20+ earlier in the season. The teams that Patriot beat were small christian schools or teams that were not very good. South Webster will walk to the semi-state.

Re: Minford v Zane Trace
Congrats to Minford on a hard fought game. I was rooting for the Pioneers because I'm a SVC guy but I am happy for the Minford coach and their kids. On many ocassions I have seen Minford kids and coaching staff unfairly critcized on here because of a loss at tournament time. For them to get that Dis...

Re: 2/28/25 Chesapeake (3) vs Wheelersburg (7) District Final
This was a fun and entertaining game to watch. Kudos to the Wheelersburg kids and coaching staff for giving themselves a chance to win this game. After watching Wheelersburg struggle against the press in the 4th quarter against Fairland, I didn't give Burg much of a chance in this game. But I guess ...

Re: Minford v Zane Trace
In my opinion Montgomery is the X-factor in this game. ZT has the personnel to keep him under control and in turn keep the game in the 50's. A game in the 50's favors ZT. But ZT will have to play well on the defenisive end. Everybody knows Montgomery is outstanding player but the reason why I think ...
