The starting five is pretty good but the bench is very young and does not have the talent that Burg usually has had. Shank and McBee will be a very good set of guards, and Stegman is very good.

I'd be shocked if Waverly finished ahead of Minford or Valley. It is a little early to tell but I think it is a 4 way dogfight : Valley, West, Minford and Burg with West and Valley the favorites due to their returning starters.

I think that it will be a close game. Too early to make win or lose projections. I think Oak Hill will miss Odenara (sp) a lot.

My two cents. Coach Clifford is an excellent coach with a very good record.

West should have a very good football team this coming year. I did not think they spread the ball around very well last year and that murphy was under utilized in the running game. west has the best player around and they are mainly a year older. they should be good. last year they had problems in p...

Let's support this young man, and be proud of him. He has worked really hard and is an excellent talent.

Barrick is a great coach and will always have a competetive team. Stegman is back next year. Look for McBee and Massie to be really good. I bet Whitley comes back out and with Bendolph that is a pretty good team especially if Shankwiler is able to play.

I agree with most of what Marshallman says but I think the absence of Whitely, Kemper, Craigmiles and (by injury) Shankwiler has really hurt Burg. The SOC II is really interesting this year. It looks like Oak Hill and Waverly, then Valley, South Webster, Burg, and Northwest, then Minford, and then West. It is really competetive.

I talked to a returning player yesterday. He says a lot of guys in the weight room and that varsity basketball players are on a lifting schedule in the weight room.
