Congrats to the Blue Devil TEAM! Quite a win!! You gotta keep winning to keep playing and I sure hope you go far! The 99 team went to the Elite 8 --you guys can do it too! (and we beat Jackson twice that year, which made it even sweeter!!) GO BLUE !!!!!

Re: All-SEOAL

I imagine when the list is made public, we will be able to better see who has sour grapes. I'm already able to see a trend! People who don't like "the system" can always become the coach and try to change it!! The league was loaded. Great hitters and pitchers everywhere! Congratulations to...

Re: All-SEOAL

Footballfanatic1 removed his post and his comment about his post-- as he should have. He agreed his comment was wrong and I guess he was able to remove both of them. And that is a good thing!

Re: All-SEOAL

League selections have tradionally brought out varied opinions by many. But to malign the young ladies, who were chosen by the league COACHES, as a "joke" is unacceptable. Shame on you.

Re: Tuesday results ..... May 1st

The "official" score between GAHS and Athens was 4-0. BUT--GAHS scored 6 in the top of the 6th, had a runner at 1st and 3rd with 2 outs, when the game was called. So not as close as it may have sounded!

GAHS 8 -- Logan 1. Heather Ward had a no-hitter going until the bottom of the 7th when Logan hit a single up the middle. We play every night next week if the rain does not get us. BIG game on Wednesday when Jackson comes to town. GO BLUE !!!!

Re: Softball scores: 4/11

Warren beat us with their bats and our sloppy defense. We have done pretty well with our youth and varsity inexperience. Our pitcher and catcher are our only returning starters from last year. We will be OK and these girls will learn and improve as the season progresses. Great group of ladies!! As f...

Re: Tri-match at Portsmouth Clay

GAHS started out slow against the Fairfieild Lady Lions but came alive in the last 2 innings scoring 6 in the 6th and 5 in the 7th while picking up 1 in the 4th. Fairfield jumped out to a 4-0 lead against our first pitcher and then we brought in Violet Pelfrey who got her second win in two days. The...

Re: GAHS-Portsmouth final?

Once again I wrote a nice little piece on tonight's game. I submitted and it disappeared!!!!! I think GAHS 4-ever is playing games with me!! He knows I can not compete with the wonderful way he kept everyone informed about his beloved Blue Angels. We won. Explosive 7th inning. 6 runs on 5 hits. Fina...

Re: GAHS Blue Angels vs. Hilliard Davidson

I just wote a complete article on both games today and hit some button and it disappeared! OSU is coming on and I'm logging off. The Blue Angels lost both games today: 11-8 and 8-3. We out hit them in the first game but committed NINE errors. Had the game locked up in the top of the 7th 8-5 with one...

Re: GAHS Forever RIP

As I sit with the GAHS scorebook in front of me tonight, I think of the man who has held this position for the last 7 years. The scoring, the postings, the newspaper articles all came so easily to him and he really enjoyed being a part of the softball family. He was such an important part of this te...
