There will be a meeting of the Southeast Ohio Track and Cross Country Coaches' Association on Monday, September 19 at the Jackson Ponderosa. The meeting will start at 6:30 P.M.

The southeast district athletic board voted yesterday to implement an online seeding process using baumspage.com. This will eliminate the need for a traditional seed meeting. Basically, coaches will be given a window of time to log into their baumspage account, submit pertinent information about their team (times, courses ran, finishes in races, etc.). Once that window closes, the information will be posted and all coaches will be able to review all information submitted by all coaches. There will then be another window where coaches will log into their baumspage account and cast their vote by ranking the teams in order from best to worst. Once that window closes, the votes will be tallied. Teams will be assigned to races based on the tallies. The best ranked team will go in race A, the second and third best ranked teams will go in race B, the fourth and fifth best to race A, 6th and 7th best to race B, etc. Final assignments will be posted within a few hours after voting ends.

One more thing you'll need to know about the district meets. The OHSAA has asked us (baumspage) to collect license numbers from EVERY coach's purpil activity permit BEFORE he/she can be allowed to submit their roster(s). "Every" means the head coach and up to three assistant coaches. We have added this feature to the online entry system over the last two days/nights and it is listed under "My Sports - Pupil Activity/Coaching Permit" after you log into your account.
