In this years strong freshman class, the SEOAL is represented very well. Out of the whole incoming class, 4 members are from the SEOAL. This includes myself (Cody Westbrook), Mark Wieferich (also from Marietta), Curt Smith (my roommate from Chillicothe), and Jordan Minnick (Zanesville).

So we can't get more discussion out of this on an SEO forum??? It's Ohio State here, not Marietta College. Four kids from the same conference in the same recruiting class.

Saw pictures of the refurbished French Field House - how does it look up close and personal?

It looks good. One of the top indoor facilities in the Big 10 now, which is a major improvement from the old French Field House. It was a very costly renovation but it was much needed.

Thank you very much. I just sent him an email. Well, I actually started running last year. this year was my first year in cross-country and I ran 16:35. I also run track and pretty much every long distance event. I ran 800 in 2:01, 1600 in 4:50 and 3200 in 10:54. This times might look slow, but I am expecting to break all them this year and my coach Fitz Read told me that if i'll work the same as I did during Cross-Country season I will get couple school records and probably will break 10:00 in 3200.

Cody and Mark,

Hope all is well at OSU and things are working the way you have planned. Can't wait to watch results and see how things are going.

wow...I'm surprised that Mark is a walk-on but it is probably because I'm ignorant about the DI level of running.

Is it safe to assume that someone as smart as Weiferich has a decent academic scholarship?

ok thanks MariettaPride I will work on my times this year and hopefully i will be able to walk on
Mark surely had some great times, Athens is D1 this year and I hope there will be good competition throughout the year. It helps when I have some fast runners to keep up with.

Surprisingly most times are similar to D2 Regionals, Athens have one of the best teams this year with a very strong Senior class. It will be a challenge for us to make it to Regional meet as a team, but it is not unreachable.
