I would like to commend Ms Welch on her performance in the 800 meters today at the Districts at Washington Courthouse. It is not about her time or what place she finished. It is about the sportsmanship she showed for someone on another team. Ms Welch lane assignment placed her in front of another girl from Wheelersburg who has a faster time. Ms Welch who is in the same conference as Wheelersburg and has apparently ran against this girl allowed the girl to go in front of her in the lane assignments knowing that she could slow this girl down to the breaking point.
The girl from the Burg got fifth place just barely not making it to the Regionals. So I would like to say that Ms Welch is a winner.
