The Division II Southeast District starts tonight at Nelson/York High school and will finish up on Saturday.

Always well organized and good food

Girls 4x800

This looks to be Fairfield Unions race but look out for the girls from Gallipolis with Senior Hannah Watts running the last leg. Fairfield Union won the 4x800 with a time of 9:44.74 with Gallipolis 2nd at 10:15.20.

Boys 4x800

Sheridan looks strong here with Athens and a young team from Warren pushing them. Even Gallipolis should make a good showing. Sheridan won the 4x800 with a time of 8:13.86-Athens takes 2nd place with a time of 8:18.77 Followed by Warren at 8:24.34...Gallipolis came in 4th at 8:25.21

Girls 100 hurdles

Eberts Natalie looks to be the pick here with Tori Koukos [SP], Brooklyn Massie [RH] making a race of it. Natalie won the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.48 followed by Loukos of South Point [16.47], Conzette of Fairland was 3rd [16.90----Massie did not run

Boys 110 Hurdles

This could be one of the closest races of the day with a half dozen runners being able to take the win. Bailey of Athens comes through with the win here

Girls 100

I would say this will be close between Atiya Spaulding [CH] and Cassie Mcfadden of [VC]with Maria Fondale of NL pusking the two. Also breathing down their necks will be Raely Gardner of Warren. McFadden of Vinton Cty wins in 12.80 Gardner from Warren takes 2nd-- 3rd went to Smith of RV Spaulding did not run

Boys 100

Another race where any of six boys could take this race. New Lex could take 1st and 2nd here but I look foe Trae Williams of Athens to pull it out. Freshman Andrew Moffett will let people know what to look out for over the next three years.
Williams of Athens win in 11.28 with Allison of Gallipolis getting 2nd and Winnenberg of NL 3rd.

Girls 4x200

Looking for a wire to wire race here between Gallipolis and Fairfield Union. Hand offs will be the biggest thing here. If either of these two don't get them right you could have Warren and Sheridan pulling the upset. Gallipolis wins in 1:50.11 and Sheridan took 2nd 1:51.43--Warren was 3rd at 1:52.84.

Boys 4x200

Athens looks good here along with South Point. Same here as the girls. If the hand offs are messed up Warren and New Lex could jump in . Athens win with a time of 1:32.27--South Point was 2nd 1:34.22--Warren 3rd 1:34.74.

Girls 1600

Looks to be between team mates from Fairfield Union Rose /Swain but look out for Allyson Malone of Alexander. Malone seems to be coming into form the last few meets. Rose and Swain finish 1/2 and Malone was third

Boys 1600

Sheridan will have two of the best in the area running this race with Warren's Goodman. Bromley of Sheriden wins with Jones of Athens coming off the last turn to take 2nd followed by Goodman and Ash of Warren.

Girls 4x100

This race looks to either be New Lex, River Valley or the girls from Gallipolis.....Fairfield Union, Sheridan, New Lex and Warren have a great chance of crossing the line 1st. New Lex comes in 1st followed by Gallipolis and Vinton Cty

Boys 4x100

Might have to check the camera out on this one with Athens and Gallipolis. New Lex has three senior that might want this race the most....South Point and Warren will be in the thick of things. Athens nips Gallipolis 44.04/44.12 South Point finished 3rd

Girls 400

Senior Hannah Watts[Ga] will want to go out on top so I look for her to breeze in this race followed by Skyler Kraft of Fairfield Union Watts finish at 59.66 followed by Kraft of FU at 1:01.06

Boys 400

Ethan Snider of Sheridan and Wade Barney of Vinton Cty will put on a show here. Do not count out Blake Wilson of Gallipolis,T. McDonald of Athens and Nate Hoover of Meigs Snider wins followed by McDonald of Athens and Wilson Of Gallipolis.

Girls 300 Hurdles

Eberts Natalie[SH] and Madi Oiler [Ga] are the ones to watch here.Oiler has been coming on here of late and it just might be her time to cross the line 1st. South Point's Koukos and Fairfield Union's Glace could surprise Natalie of Sheriden win with Oiler 2nd and Glaze 3rd

Boys 300 Hurdles

Two SEOAL runner going at it here with Jacob Click of Gallipolis and Warrem's Mark McDermott. Right off I don't recall them going against each other too often this season. Sheriden's Jacob Srewart will be right on their butts Click wins over McDermott with Stewart of Sheriden taking 3rd

Girls 800

State indoor champion Hannah Watts goes for another win here and should out run Carly Rose of Fairfield Union. Jessica Price [Fa] and Mya Faris of [VC] will make a showing too. Watts runs away with this race and sets a district record Rose is 2nd and Price was 3rd

Boys 800

This race should have a few runners coming down to the finish and will depend on the strongest. Winston Wade [Ga],Isaiah Lester [Ga], Daniel Berry [FU], Justin Snider [SH]...Spoiler here could be Sam Stevens Jones of Athens. Wade od Gallipolis in 5th place and 15 yards back with 65 yards to go.. goes from the outside to the inside and nips Snider at the finish 2:02.92/2:03.02 .With his best race of the season Neehouse from Warren gets 3rd [2:03.17]

Girls 200

Could be fight between Rachael Smith of [RV] and Atiya Spaulding of [CH] Cassie McFadden of [VC] will also be in this race. Trailing the hole race McFadden of Vinton Cty nips Spaulding at the line 26.81/26.85...Smith was 3rd

Boys 200

[VC] Wade Barney, Williams of Athens and Click from Gallipolis look to be the favorites with McGaughey [NL] Snider [SH] and Moffett of [RV] pushing them. Barney edges Williams 22/65/22.76 ...Click was 3rd.

Girls 3200

Jessie Swain of Fairfield Union looks a winner here but if she isn't up to it Foltz Katy of Sheridan could be at the finish 1st Swain wins here. Mary Watts running her best 3200 of the year comes in 2nd at 12:02.82...Malone took 3rd

Boys 3200

Matt Bromley of Sheridan looks to be the class of the field followed by team mate Joey Palumbo and Sam Goodman of Warren. Also Brent Ash of Warren is due for a big day. Bromley win..Goodman 2nd and Miller of Rock Hill 3rd at 10:06.23.

Girls 4x400

Look for another battle between Fairfield Union and Gallipolis here. Fairfield Union runs away from the star with Sherisen 2nd and NL 3rd.

Boys 4x400

Gallipolis and Sheriden should battle to the finish here but do not count out Athens Gallipolis wins in 3:31.37..Sheriden 2nd 3:33.56 and River Valley passing Warren at the end for 3rd

Girls Discus

This look to be all Jordan Porter [CH]...could be Shauger [FU], Emily [SH] Kylee [SH] for 2nd place Porter win with a throw of 128'04" Emily takes 2nd and Shauger 3rd

Battle between Dave King of Sheriden and Brice Winegardner of Fairfield Union. Fairland's Zach McKinney should follow these two.Winegardner of Fairfield Union won the discus at 150' 05' with McKinney of Fairland taking 2nd place with 143' 01"..King of Sheridan was 3rd with Warren's Massey at 4th

Girls High Jump

Spaulding of Chesapeake is the big favorite here with Rock Hill's Massis and Sheriden's Natalie fighting for 2nd.. Kim Taylor of Alexander might be the surprise in this one.
