SOC boys could be one of the top three conferences in SEO this spring. Leading the conference will be Northwest, Waverly and Wheelersburg. Only one team and that is Minford looks to be a middle team in the SOC. Too close to call on what three will take the Title.
Top three team for the SOC might have to wait to see how their incoming freshman turn out to see who takes the conference meet. Wheelersburg looks to be strong in three of the five categories with the distance being their worst events. I can see Burg getting two boys in the top eight in three events and first in another three. Their Field and distant events look a little below average. Waverly will be solid with the relays and the field event pulling the most points. Overall four events should have two boys in the top eight. As far as the SOC I see no reason why Waverly can't score in every event. Northwest is going to be very strong in the 800, 1600 and 3200. Field and relays will be better than average. A note on Minford, if they can get some new boys going out an a couple move ins along with help from the freshman I wouldn't count them out from jumping into the thick of things.
Wheelersburg, Waverly and Valley should have some good freshmen this year.
