From true Wynford fans you are getting respect. Not too many Wynford fans actually post on any site. I do know a couple of them talking are Wynford fans but for the most part Wynford fans are just stating what they know. Just like you guys did earlier about how Wynford wouldn't beat Smithville because they have no playoff tradition. Then someone did some looking and said oh gosh lets rethink this. I do know one of our more reliable and informational fans, while he does sometimes get carried away he means no harm, was given incorrect information by someone in the south who had the wrong match up. You all reacted and he said sorry he has to rethink. Believe me Royalnut is about as fair and complimentary as any fan I have seen on this kind of board but he is 100% Royal and he isn't ashamed of it.

Now this is what I know. I really really really want the Royals to win. Our kids know this is going to be a great game they also know they may never get another opportunity like this. I know that any team playing in week 12 with a record like these two teams have is good, darn good. I know that Wynford played a very physical smash mouth team on Friday and shut them out until they scored on our 2nd and third string defense with their 1s with :37 left. I do know that our offense is good but honestly made some mistakes on Friday night and should have scored 50 I also know that Coach Moyer would not have allowed that to happen. I mean he had our 3rd string kick returner take a knee with 37 seconds left. I do know that I wasn't happy with the chunks that those Smithville backs got but I also know that the defense clamped hard at the best times. I know we have shut down balanced offenses this year and the team that gave us the biggest fit was a very fast athletic Galion team which lacked a little size but played with a lot of heart. What I can tell from Portsmouth West is that they can put points up in bunches and seem to hold teams down. I know that they just beat a darn good NY team that we figured was going to grab the #1 seed in the region in front of us. We know that the boys on the River are tough hard nosed players with proud traditions. I think it should be a heck of a game.

I love games like this but they crack me up. We do not know a thing about each other cause we are 4 hours away so we talk about what we know. People get mad but no harm is intended we just talk about what we know about. And just like on your thread many people talking aren't even involved they are just along for the ride. Good luck to Portsmouth West from here on out PW cause I hate typing it out everytime LOL. I hope it is a great game and of course LETS GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!

The great northern team thinks that all we do is run the football and they are going to have no problem with us in this game. Seems to me I heard some of the same lack of respect before our state semi final game against Ursuline in 02. I guess we will have to go up there and earn some respect. The boys need to go up there and get the w not just for them and the Westside but for the redneck hillbilly people of southern ohio. GO SIDERS.
arrogant bunch for sure. You win 59 straight regular season games and you have reason to brag, but they go too far. Hope the guys use it as motivation.

I watched the Wynford and Galion on the newsboard and West is going to have to stop that QB he can throw and run very well. They also have a good RB and acouple of really good WR. west is going to have their hands full but if their D steps up and contains that QB they will have a good game..

Wynford is a very good team. However, I'd look for a close game here. Wynford is the pick.

only one I could find....
You are correct, there is NO parking unless you get there real early. The school sits on the south side of East Livingston avenue at the south edge of town between Brice Rd. and Rt. 256. A friday night playoff game there with late rush hour traffic is going to be crazy. For the West folks you'll probably come up 23 of course, take 270 east towards Wheeling, get off at the Main St. (Reynoldsburg) exit where the merge will be crowded because of two different stop lights but stay patient because the good part is you don't have to go far into town (stay in the right lane) before you take a right on Brice Rd. (@ the Flower Shop) and go about a mile down to Livingston, take a left and the school will be about 200 yards up on the right. For sure, you'd better get there early if you want a parking spot. The Wynford fans will really have it bad because that traffic that's on the North outerbelt on a friday afternoon or evening is a lot worse than what's on the South end. I truly feel sorry for them !!!!!
I used to live in that area.

I'd suggest an alternate route of 270 E toward Wheeling, get off on 70E toward Wheeling, stay in the right lane as you get on 70, first exit is Brice Rd. Take the 2nd Brice Rd exit to go N (the one that loops around), go about a mile to Livingston Ave. and turn right.

If the exit at Brice Rd is bad, you could stay on 70 and go to the next exit at SR256 and go North to Livingston Ave and turn left and come at it from the other way. This might be 10 or 15 min further, but could be your best bet depending on what the game traffic is like.

Good luck to West!

No, their still there. I've tried 2 different computers. They seem to work fine.
Try turning off your firewall?

These 3 games are on there.
Week #6: Ontario at Wynford
Week #9: Galion at Wynford
Week #11: Smithville at Wynford

I tried to post this yesterday and then I was told it had to be approved by a moderator. My post has never been posted so I guess you don't want to hear from the north. Anyway what I had to say is somewhat like this.

Many of those people on the north side are not Wynford people but some are. There really isn't many pure Wynford people that post on these sites. Royalnut told you all that he reacted to some false information from someone that had the wrong matchup and has said he will rethink his statement. You got to love Royalnut. You will not find a nicer poster anywhere. He is gracious in victory and defeat he is just passionate and every now and then it rattles a few feathers. He loves his Royals but he isn't looking past this game I guarantee you that. We know it will be a fight. I find these games very funny because the competitors are 4 hours away. We talk what we know and sometimes that hurts feelings.

This is what I know. To be playing in week 12 with records like these two have mean you have got to be pretty darn good. It is going to be a great game. I know that Wynford seems to have more depth this year than any year in recent memory and it is a good thing because we have needed it. I know that we have a bunch of experience at the skilled positions and a bunch of juniors and sophomores getting time there as well. I know we will have to play very well defensively because PW (sorry not writing it out each time) has scored a ton of points and doesn't seem to give up many. I know our players learned a lot about PW today and they have a ton of respect for them According to the one inside my house the Senators are pretty good. Just what we suspected. I know that they will have a solid game plan in place by Wednesday and it will be up to both teams to execute and us "expert" fans to sit back relax (yeah like that is going to happen) and enjoy. I am looking forward to it. Good luck to both teams and LETS GO ROYALS.

I love that the Wynford folks think Smithville was the most physical team they'll play!! I'm sure the Smithies were pretty darn physical, but I guarantee West will change their opinion on what physical is from the opening kick until the final whistle!!! Win or lose, I have faith that West will flat out BRING OUT!!!! Let's go West and let's go SOC!!!!

West is going to need perhaps their best defensive game of the year and sustain drives on offense to keep the high powered Wynford offense off the field as much as possible.

In this part of Ohio, Wynford is known as the greatest show on high school turf.

Wynford can score from anywhere, at any time, multiple receivers, multiple backs, multiple options, a regular 3 ring circus to try and contain.

Better hope Ratliff has a strong arm, if Wynford shuts down your running game, he's going to have to launch it a lot.

Around North Central Ohio, Wynford is known as the greatest show on HS turf. They can score from anywhere at anytime. They employ multiple receiver sets, multiple back sets and to try and contain this 3 ring offensive circus is near impossible.

Don't let the low scores of some of the games they played fool you, most of the games were blow outs by the half, and 3rd stringers were in the game from then on.

Wynford would have no problem beating nearby D2 and D3 teams.

You have not seen anything like this in southern ohio.

Dont understand how Bucyrus is in our region? Looked them up on a map and from their location I would think they would be in something other thanR19. I thought region was where you lived.?
