I don't care what the score is, I just hope we win. Also hope my nerves aren't shot, like at the Ironton game. Thought I was going to have a heat attack by the time that one ended. lol Good Luck Ironmen!!!!!

Jackson 15 - Chillicothe 14 - FINAL.

What a ballgame! Congratulations to the Jackson Ironmen, and especially the 19 seniors wearing Red & White. They clinched at least a share of the SEOAL title on Senior Night with an outstanding effort to beat a VERY good Chillicothe football team. I couldn't be more proud of this Jackson football team. Their heart and determination is just unbelievable.

Hats off to Coach Ron Hinton, his staff, and the Chillicothe kids. They played their tails off tonight, esepcially on the defensive side of the football. Chillicothe had given up only 38 points in four league games, and now only 53 in 5 games...that D is the real deal. The entire Chillicothe team should keep their heads up and be proud of their effort tonight.

Jackson moved the football well in the first half, but only between the 20s. They were unable to finish off drives, and as a result, only led 7-0 at the half. Chillicothe made some big plays in the second half to eventually take a 14-7 lead, but the Ironmen responded when it mattered most. On their final drive of the game, the Ironmen were able to punch it in, and then Coach Andy Hall made the call of the season. With his QB, and holder for the extra point, Kip Winchester, out of the game, he opted to go for the two-point conversion. Klay Arthur, behind that big ole Jackson O-line punched it in for the game winner!

How about Klay Arthur? 31 carries for 170+ yet again, and some HUGE plays when it mattered most. How about Drew Ervin, coming in at QB after Kip Winchester went down? How about the big boys up front, and that entire Jackson defense? I just can't say enough about the character of this team and the season that they have given us to this point. They're no worse than Co-Champs of the SEOAL, but that's not what they want. It's time to get greedy now, boys. Sharing is not an option! BEAT GALLIA ACADEMY!!!

Congratulations Ironmen. I don't think I was even breathing in the fourth quarter till Valentine sacked the Chillicothe quarterback to end the game. Hoping Winchester is okay and able to play next week. It was a team effort to win this game against a very good Chillicothe team and everyone stepped up to get it done. Jackson is proud of all of you.

Gutsy call to win the game. League title on the line next week at Gallia, should be a good one.

Hoping for the best for Kip. That young man has played his heart out all season for the Ironmen, and has led this team to an 8-1 record. He has been a great leader and playmaker for the Ironmen, and I'm extremely proud of what he has accomplished this season. It was great to see the Ironmen pick up the slack and win this game tonight, especially for Kip. He deserved to be a winner on his Senior Night. Great athlete and a great kid.

Great game from both teams. Excellent coaching showdown. Lots of guts out there tonight. Roll on Ironmen. You all make us proud. Chillicothe fans were fantastic for how few were there. If their stands were full, might have been a different ending. Grreat call by Coach Hall for going for the win on the conversion. Gallipolis will be a fun trip.
