Lancaster Fisher Catholic /Paint Valley week 1 2015

Post by LICKING COUNTY FAN »

These two will face off this season on a Thursday night at Chillicothe High School.

I see the Bearcats winning by 21-28.

Paint Valley is supposed to have a very strong player in McFadden. What I've heard is P.V. has to replace a good deal of seniors from this years' squad, whereas F.C. has to replace three.

Paint Valley will likely win, but I think this will be a really cool game for football fans in Ross County to check out.

Paint Valley I think had 11 seniors on the roster last season. Not sure how many were starters.

Both McFadden's are back next season.

The bearcats lose 2 key receivers from last years squad... bearcats roll by 40+ points in a Thursday night jv contest.

I suppose FC might as well not even show up.

Coach Hurps will have his team prepared and I think they will play hard but be out matched in this one.

Yeah, I think it'll be a three possession game for PV. Line play will be the decider if you ask me. I don't know how big PV's line is, but Fisher actually has a decently sized line but they need to play like it. Fisher has a decent QB and some skilled players that play way above their size and play with huge hearts, so they'll be in the game at least for a little bit but PV will probably make it a romp in the end.

Like I said, a cool Thursday night small school game to bring in the 2015 season that is mutually beneficial to both schools. Win or lose, it doesn't count for conference play and this game makes F.C. stronger. It will also be the second time in the past two seasons they'll get to play on a Thursday, as last year they played on the CW Columbus' "Thursday Night Lights" and played as good of a first half as possible going against a very strong, fast Harvest Prep squad before the Warriors blazed on through. Our boys, like the PV kids, will really enjoy this opportunity to play in front of what should be a reasonably medium-to-(hopefully)largeish crowd.

Outside of A.Baker at center for pv,the line size is under matched on paper. after the way that bunch clicked last year small size proved not to be a factor. With the bearcats being relatively undersized they did a great job owning the line play. Just dont see how fisher catholic can hold there own on that thursday night opener. coach hollon and his staff have a great group of kids out there and full heartedly believe that this year will be much of the same and even more than last year. with that being said, go bearcats!

PV should win this game pretty easily, but FC comes to play, always. Plus they have a very talented runningback.
