Re: Week 9 Northwest at Oak Hill
Game Day! Defense and offense must play their best game of the season to give this Mohawk football team a chance to win. The Oaks are well coached and will not take this game lightly. Very important for Northwest to avoid getting down early. This NW offense is not designed to play "catch up". It will take everything in the playbook to get the win this evening! You have already earned a share of the championship......"Play Like A Champion " tonight and it will be all yours......outright!!Good luck young Mohawks!!

Totally agree, bring your "A" game Mohawks and bring back the SOC crown to Scioto County. Should be a huge crown from Mohawk Nation don't disappoint. GO MOHAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Week 9 Northwest at Oak Hill
The Northwest program very much needed this opportunity to regroup and get out of the rut they have been in for several years. Hopefully the community will get behind the players and coaches in order to reestablish a positive environment that will allow the program to maintain the positive momentum. Winning is contagious and the Mohawks should be proud of what they have accomplished thus far and realize they have the ability to not only compete, but win. Be humble and carry yourselves with dignity and pride regardless of the outcome tonight.

Well put Hoggy. The Mohawks have definitely succeeded all expectations with this very young team. Once these kids and the community see what it is like to win on a regular basis their is only one way to go, UP !!!!!!

Congrats to OH on the win, 34-14. NW has made tremendous progress this year. Best of luck as you continue to build on what you have started.

Congrats to Oak Hill on the victory and good luck the rest of the way.
Northwest has nothing to hang their heads about and need to finish the season strong and be proud of the accomplishments. This is not only about being a co-champions and adding some hardware to the trophy case, but more importantly, it has laid a building block for the revamped future of the program.

Congratulations to the Oaks on the win and a share of the SOC-I Title! You have a helluva football program there! Hope that you will get a chance to play in week #11!
As for you "Young Mohawks", congratulations to you also! You may not know it or understand it but, you won as well! You have brought pride to a school and a community that has known nothing but defeat and failure for the 55 years or so of football at Northwest High School! The excitement throughout the school and community has been a wonder to behold! The mortar holding the bricks together in the school was shook loose from the Pep Rally on Wednesday! What happened last night at Oak Hill hurts and that's ok, let it hurt.....until Monday afternoon, then let it drive you to get ready for River Valley! You have made a bunch of people proud of you this year, finish up 6-4 and remember this, YOU PUT THE FIRST GOLD FOOTBALL EVER......IN THE CASE AT NORTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL!! WE ARE PROUD OF EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!
