Re: Week 5 Logan @ Nelsonville York
I have never been so happy after a loss.
Those boys showed up and played 4 quarters of football tonight. They never quit. They played Buckeye football tonight. They showed so much heart!
WAY TO PLAY HARD BUCKEYES!!

Give the Bucks some credit. We all know they have the talent. I think this is a win for the Bucks to go out and have some fun just playing football against a quality opponent. Good luck to Logan and NY the rest of the way! Beat Meigs!

They are on their way..... They played inspired football tonight.TheLot wrote:The Buckeyes will get it right.Orange and Brown wrote:41-28 Logan
Moved Andrews back to Middle linebacker where he belongs and got everyone involved on offense.
Hunter Edwards ran well tonight. I really liked what Dean was doing in the passing game. He put in a whole new playbook and it fits the team.

Yes I should have give more credit to Buckeyes,I just looked at the stats and surprisingly Nelsonville-Y dominated except for passing yards. And of course Logan was eat up with penalties 11-120, ouch!

Good win tonight but That defense has... Has to get better!! The run D is horrible. The runners at the 3rd level before the LBs know it. The running QBs kill us. The safety should never be you leading tackler.
Re: Week 5 Logan @ Nelsonville York
Chiefs were luckily to come away from Nelsonville with a win last night! Good job N-Y and the Chiefs better start strapping it on and play defense or if they make the play offs, and that is a big if, they will get murder!

Re: Week 5 Logan @ Nelsonville York
As I posted earlier I felt this year and/or next year would be the period where the Buckeyes would be really god.
I understand the team has gone through a lot, so this year, the big hopes on my part has faded.\, as I am sure most think, but might not admit.
If they can hire a new coach, who builds the offense and defense around the talent, I am still thinking next year is a year they could be a force. I am not say state champs, but a very good regular season and at least one, if not two playoff wins.

Coach Dean is the man for the job. He will be the head coach next year and many many years to come.newarkcatholicfan wrote:As I posted earlier I felt this year and/or next year would be the period where the Buckeyes would be really god.

Re: Week 5 Logan @ Nelsonville York
After watching the game again, Logan defensive problems are many, tackling, we do not have any linebackers who can play the position, and my goodness the 2nd level can not cover my 75 year old mother! An idea that might help is to become an ultra aggressive defense and keep teaching how to tackle. How to tackle should be taught in youth programs! Our Defense is a major problem!

Was N-Y scoring on Logan's first team D at the end of the game or their backups?

Burke is still working on the D. He will find what he needs as far as first team pretty soon. He rotates for rest on both sides of the ball. Doing a fine job figuring things out, imo.
