I think many don’t expect much because of losing Howell and Co. but the Tigers return many key starters and components. QB is unproven so he’ll have to play smart and not make the big mistakes. I believe he has the potential of being a very good QB.

Wellston has some holes to fill. They have to replace both guards and a tackle on the offensive line. Their qb is a sophomore first year starter. And, they have to find a new tailback. Defensively 2 linebackers a cornerback and safety need replaced. With this being said these spots will be filled by players who are more than ready to step up.

he's not gonna be another bob lutz but i do think he will improve the tigers and maybe in the next few yrs the burg - ironton series will be a good series again

The expectations for Pendleton at Ironton may have already been set to high before his first game. If he can instill discipline on the team and renew community and parental support, he will have had a successful first season. Wins, conference championships, and playoff appearances will follow in due time.
