MAC streak ends

Reading the Marion local and Kirtland recap they said this is the first time since 2003 that a MAC school hasn't won a state championship game. That's phenomenal and shows all things must come to an end, now granted it does hurt that coldwater and Marion local have been in the same division last 2 years. Had coldwater stayed in DV who knows what may have happened. Has there ever been a conference so dominate?? 15 years where a team won a state championship game and multiple years where 2-3 of the teams from the MAC won.

The recap you read was mistaken. The MAC didn’t win one in 2009.

Not that it makes it any less impressive, though!

2009 is correct!!

Versailles won a title in 2003 but I don’t think they were in the MAC yet.

2002 was the other time.
