Re: Jackson vs Athens ?
Possible but I'm doubting it, I think Jackson gets moved up higher than the points show once coaches weigh in on it.

Re: Jackson vs Athens ?
IF Athens can beat N-Y this week they will play one of the bottom feeders in the region in rd. 1 in a winnable game in this year of chaos. IF they lose this week they will probably play Hartley, Tri-Valley or Zanesville which won't go well for the Bullpups.

I doubt it. Athens would be 3-2 without any big win. There are 23 opt-ins in the region, so to get a bottom-feeder they'd need to be seeded into the top 7 to get a bye, and even then could draw the #10-seed after they win their game. Granted, they could structure it differently, and who knows how they'll seed.FANOSPORTS wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2020 11:40 pm IF Athens can beat N-Y this week they will play one of the bottom feeders in the region in rd. 1
I count around 10 teams immediately that would almost for certain be a lock to be seeded higher than Athens even if they win.
Attached is a sample 23-team tournament bracket. Not for sure that's how it'll look, but an idea.

That's what I was saying above (Hartley, Tri-Valley and Zanesville aren't top 7 now and have tough games this week. IF Athens loses they will drop further and will play one of these teams in rd. 1. IF they win they would draw a Buckeye Valley, M-T, Centennial etc. which could be winnable)ACCBiggz wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2020 9:52 amI doubt it. Athens would be 3-2 without any big win.
