The penalty debacle was embarrassing, that can’t happen especially if it was a game that was close. They only had one penalty in the 2nd half, so I choose to believe that it was addressed at halftime and won’t happen again.

However, that Waverly team is absurd. They are fast, fast, fast on the inside and outside. I know they’ll need to tighten up on some things each week, but I was incredibly impressed with the entire Waverly team. Good luck to the Tigers on the rest of their season

“Spotty”, ya that’s it… glad it’s over without any more Tiger injuries and Tigers move to 3-0. Waverly probably lost one for the season (hopefully not), another one for a couple weeks in addition to a couple who were out before the game. Need to get a few guys healthy and Tigers need to start looking at/preparing for Chillicothe.

I see only one could be test left on the schedule.

Consecutive away games at Chillicothe, Court House, West then two weeks later at Wheelersburg will sorely test the Tigers. I think Waverly has not won at Wheelersburg since 2001 and the Pirates seem to be rebounding nicely since their opening game loss to Ironton. Also I believe the Tigers have not won back to back SOC crowns since 1968-69.

Watching a team on live stream does not give one a complete picture of the flow of the game or true quality of play, but Waverly just did not look sharp against Unioto despite the lopsided score and stats. It is clear that Waverly has talent,
but as @smurray stated three weeks ago, they are a work in progress in becoming a complete team.

It wasn’t one sided but called that way and yes I’d say it was addressed in both locker rooms at halftime.
It’s over and Waverly needs to move on to worrying about Chillicothe.

Thanks for the accolades - receivers are just crazy athletic and talented and not a bad 3rd string running back turned starter racking up yards. Hurd has impressed running the ball the past two weeks. Offensive line has improved each each and turning out to be very good without any seniors.
Injuries have hit the defense hard but they have held up so far.

Hurd was the 3rd string coming into the year? Lol that’s some great depth to have, because that kid is dynamic!

Yep, Harris returning and broke his collar bone in preseason, Shoemaker with high expectations coming in injured again and probably out for the season - Hurd was behind them.
