2021 Shenandoah 22 - 12 Marietta
2021 Shenandoah 22 - 12 Marietta
Marietta goes for their fourth straight win. Zeps only win to this point came against Newcomerstown. I expect the young Tigers to continue to improve and pick up the W.
Thoughts? Anyone got info on Shenandoah?

Re: Week 6: Marietta (3-2) @ Shenandoah (1-3)
Don't look now but Tigers headed for best season in 20 years. That was coach Brian Spicer's 8-3 playoff team, one of only 2 times MHS qualifed.
If Shenandoah lost three straight but 2 were to unbeatens Shadyside and Union Local. I like Tigers by 10.

Don't get too excited about Marietta yet. Their wins are against teams that are 2-10, lost to river by 20, a team Warren beat by 30. I think a 1-3 Shenandoah will give them a good game.

No doubt. I don’t think anyone expects Marietta to show up in Sarahsville and blow the Zeps out. They will be ready to play. Definitely going to have to pump the brakes on the best team talk, as well. There is a real chance this ends up Marietta’s last win of the season. Brooke, Cambridge, and Warren are all winnable imo, but all three will be tough.Fanatic wrote: Wed Sep 22, 2021 9:46 pm Don't get too excited about Marietta yet. I’ll also say Marietta did a lot of good things against Ripley last Friday. They’ve improved a ton since that River loss.

I think Marietta blows Shenandoah out. Shenandoah is bad defensively.

Could well be their best season in 20 years but it's because of their best schedule in a long time.carbon_dated wrote: Wed Sep 22, 2021 9:33 pm Don't look now but Tigers headed for best season in 20 years. That was coach Brian Spicer's 8-3 playoff team, one of only 2 times MHS qualifed.

All Zeps in the 3rd. Shenandoah up 22-6 at start of the 4th qtr.

Re: Week 6: Marietta (3-2) @ Shenandoah (1-3)
Shenandoah wins 22-12…not a good showing for MHS to say the least.

Congrats to the Zeps. Hate it for Marietta. I think the current staff has been at Marietta for 5-6 years. It might be time to consider a change.
Re: Week 6: Marietta (3-2) @ Shenandoah (1-3)
Marietta administration would have to worry about winning for that to happen. Most of the area know that is not the case anymoreMttaFan wrote: Fri Sep 24, 2021 10:13 pm Congrats to the Zeps. I believe this is the 8th season for the current staff. I know Marietta is really young and doesn’t have a ton of talent, but losses like tonight just can’t happen.MttaFan wrote: Fri Sep 24, 2021 10:13 pm Congrats to the Zeps. Hate it for Marietta. This is a surprise to most of us on here but congrats to Shenandoah. That's a major morale boost with a challenging final four games ahead.

Marietta has lots of good athletes playing on the pitch with the funny round ball.
Sad that they didn't want to play the gridiron game instead.
