Madden was a great coach, sportscaster, and an all around decent human being. The youngsters on SEOP likely only know his name from the EA Sports football games.

to say unexpectedly at the age of 85 is a stretch. He was overweight , smoker for a period of time. I would say him living to 85 was unexpected. Not to sound mean or anything. HE WAS 85!! yes, he was an icon and awesome to listen to all his boom and bangs but I laugh when someone dies at the age of 85 and it's unexpected. smh
