Playing for Coach Bell is very different. He’s a different type of coach.
What will you miss most about the Class of 2023?
I will miss the leadership of the 2023 class.
Which teammate will you miss the most from the 2022 season? Explain.
CJ, Tre, Mike P, Solo, and Kemua were not just my teammates on the field; they were my brothers off the field, as well.
Who was the best player Columbus East faced during the 2022 season, including the playoffs?
Number 1, Davion Bahr from Cambridge He was a great player. Cambridge was a great team, and I definitely think they were one of the better teams we played.
Who was the best team the Tigers faced last season?
Steubenville.
What were the high and low points of the 2022 season?
We had some really high points, but we also had some low points in the season, and coach Bell would always remind us to always fight and have resilience.
What was it like to not host one but two playoff games and win both of them?
It felt great to know we were doing something that has never been done in School history so I was glad to be a part of that!!
Looking back at all the games you played, which stadium did you enjoy playing at the most?
Harley Field (Tiger Land) It's my home stadium.
What goals had you set for yourself entering the 2022 season? Did you achieve those goals?
The goals I set for myself were to help my team go far, and yes, I’ve accomplished those goals.
What did you learn most about yourself that you will use to become a better player this season?
I learned that even when you think you have no more fight in you, you have to keep pushing till the end.

I wonder if Daequan's class maybe should be 2025 instead of 2026, especially if he played this past season. Don't quite understand why Columbus East would be hosting two playoff games, instead of just one. Maybe it has something to do with the City League schools? Good interview.

That 2nd round game at East was so cool. Seeing both sides of the bleachers packed was unreal.
