I'm just glad someone brought this up again. I would like to see this mentioned in every thread in the football forum from now on. I think that should be a SEOPS rule, that whoever makes the tenth post on any thread no matter the topic you have to say something about Jackson and Warren getting in to the TVC.
Heres an idea. Don't read it guy and go back to the swimming forum.

Thanks Bird Dog

In basketball Warren would be a great addition to an already great basketball league
Jackson is trying to get it going but right now they would be 2 wins for most teams and bring a pretty good gate

In baseball both are solid programs and would compete very well with the tvc
I know Jackson already plays VC, Wellston, Alex,Meigs and Athens

I agree with you. I'm a Meigs guy and finally it looks like they're going in the right direction in all boys sports for the first time in years. Even though they're not dominant and they'd probably get beat in football more often than not I think having Jackson in would only help.

I don't think adding in football right now is a good idea

I really don't
But the other sports would be no problem and maybe over time 10 years or so the football program may be asked to join

Yes Meigs is for sure in the right direction
Jackson / Meigs have a good baseball rivalry right now

Neither Jackson or Warren needs the TVC. Warren is already in another league and wouldn't have a problem filling there schedule. Jackson can keep the direction they are going and be fine. The TVC is a good all around team league and Jackson would rule TVC football for the next 6 years plus they have some good girl sports. Warren is strong in every sport other than football as the boys go and always do well in the girls. Jackson in the TVC would always finish in the top five in a all/Sports trophy and Warren would win it most years. The TVC does not want to bring a #1 and #5 in to their league. Even right now the small schools in the TVC want nothing to do with the bigger ones. They even have to have a big/little in scoring track.

I don't know right off but how many conferences in Ohio keep their sports divided?

Jackson wouldn't rule the tvc in non football sports, actually they'd be far from it

Warren is a Better overall sports school and would challenge for basketball right away

And yes being league affiliated would be much better than independent in non football sports

If the ECOL dies. Marietta and Warren will need a league. Be interesting if they join the PVC. Jackson to the TVC would be a perfect fit

Would Logan stay if...
Warren
Logan
Jackson
Marietta

Could find 1 more team
...

Athens would be the best option

Logan has wanted to go north for awhile. They have become far too big. They have 480 boys. Then Marietta at 305. Athens, Warren, and Jackson around 290. Vinton and Morgan are 270. Gallia is 220. Meigs is 200. Now that Logan is gone. Would schools join the SEOAL because now the biggest school would be around 300 and not 500

But with that being said, Athens is happy in the TVC and it's a very competitive league.

It doesn't matter who would win what and how often they would win it and in what sport.

Bottom line is you have two schools with prob 800 kids in 9-12 grade that don't have a viable athletic option when Logan leaves.

Warren sits amongst the TVC and Jackson for crying out loud sits amongst the SOC and TVC and on the edge of the SCOL and OVC.

It makes SE Ohio look simply silly and worried about who might win this or that by not finding a solution. I stand by my statement that no school especially Warren and Jackson that has been loyal league members and who want a home to be left as independents, sorry it is just dumb.

Surely there is some combination of leagues that can do something.

Well doing the right thing needs to trump everything. When we do that as individuals, communities and as a country again we will be on track again.

School thinking they would come in and win it all. Ironton, Portsmouth, Chillicothe and Zanesville fall into this area. They knew they would battle each other, but didn't figure in Jackson and Logan spoiling their party. Three of those four went at it Toe to Toe in basketball and it wasn't enough to keep them in. This show you that football and boys sports run the show. In some sports Jackson, Logan, Marietta and Warren were results of the new kids on the block finish behind these four.

Traveling was the top reason but winning put the thought in their heads.

noreply66: Portsmouth did what is best for Portsmouth. I enjoyed the SEOAL, the road trips, and watching my Trojans compete, but it was time to move on to something better for us. I certainly will miss Pizza Crossing, though!!

I like that... A captain goes down with his ship...Jackson is defiantly the captain of Seoal football and is faithfully riding it under ..
