Ranking the Bottom 5

Post by Better Find Bob »

All this talk about the top 25, how about the bottom 5? Just like the ESPN's weekly ranking of the bottom, who do you have?

Mine:

#5 - South Point - (Can they turn it around?)

#4 - Fairland - (The new coach may need more time)

#3 - Northwest - (Time to bring back the old coach?)

#2 - Ironton - (A Tiger win this week quiets Tigertown)

#1 - Logan - (What's next?)

I'd throw in Gallia Academy in there somewhere. Pretty sad that four OVC teams could qualify for this list.

How many new coaches has Fairland had in the last several years?

Sounds like we have some Chieftain and Tiger haters. Can not imagine that . But that's OK . There is alot of tradition at both schools.

I think these may be the five biggest disappointments this season but not all as worst teams...

I think the worst 5 may be
1. Federal hocking
2. South point
3. Soth Gallia
4. Fairland
5. Summer's valley or others

Logan (0-4) and Ironton (1-3). No Chieftain fan, not basing it on an illustrious past, basing it on actual performance on the field.

You see Chieftain, having a successful past does not not help you win games in 2016. However, everyone is entitled to their opinions, and if reminding your self about the past helps you, then go for it.

Hey I'm glad you called it like you see it. I guess you have seen all of the Chieftain and Tigers games and you are entitled to your opinion. I rest my Laurels on the Future because what is today will not be the same tomorrow and that is the certainty in life and sports.

Since 2010 Logan is 25-35. With 0 playoff appearances. I don't see a winnable game for Logan this year until week 10 against Warren and who knows then. "Illustrious" and sorry I'm in no way, shape or form an Ironton fan, but, Logan does NOT belong in the sentence as Ironton. Actually not the same paragraph, chapter or book even... just saying.

Not even sure how someone comes up with a bottom 5. Place a team like South Gallia on there who has 2 wins. Best place Manchester, Green down there. Manchester 28 points in 4 games. Green 2 wins but against Manchester and Hannan, WV. 2 losses outscored 8-91. Northwest 0-4, 21 total points on the year while giving up 195. Symmes Valley 1 win against an 0-3 team and scored 6 points total in other 3 games. Then you toss in Valley played a tough schedule but games haven't even been close. Ironton I can see someone placing them on there but that's just their own agenda they'd beat any of the other teams that I've listed.

I would say Fed Hock, Frontier, Fisher (if they count as SE; South Point if not), Crooksville, and for the time being given their injuries Northwest. Not really a particular order, just five teams really down from everyone else.
