Crazy Stat about Portsmouth West!

I know West has outscored all of their opponents by alot this year and posted 5 shutouts but I was just adding the points up and I was amazed bout this:

West has outscored their opponents 375-46..That is a average of 37.5 to 4.6 every game..that is amazing in my eyes. They done this with 5 shutouts and only allowing double digits 1 time!

But look at the teams they played. Burg and Minford are the only tough teams they played.

Unfortunately, nothing would make TC71 happy for West. TC you need to get you a bowl of ice cream, PRETEND you are " built" like your avatar, and leave your negativity somewhere else. Get some therapy while you are at it. You were so sure Burg would beat West.

portsmouth and Waverly including in the bragging about offense ??? Geez thats just crazy. West's D is pretty good but lets be real, the schedule for 08 was a really great time to be good. Minford put up 10 against valley, 7 against burg. Portsmouth was just awful in nearly phase of the game. Just as it should be fine to say what a great year it was for them is the reality that beating Burg and Minford is their best 2 wins. And those are 2 very very good wins. But lets leave portsmouth and waverly out of discussions about shuttting down good teams. MD

If you look closely Portsmout (94) Rock Hill (146) and Norhwest (97) their otal points or the season dont add up to P. Wst total for the season. Only reason Northwest total is so high is they put 53 up on Manchester. You did hold Burg and Minford to 13 points combined so thats awesome.

Not to bring negativity to anything, and surely not putting West down or what they have accomplished, but this subject is Stats.

Only 3 teams has winning records that West has played. Now is not the time for the players to be thinking this will be a cake walk through the playoffs. Because it won't be. Keep working hard, and good luck.

Any time your beating people as bad as West beat people this year J.Vs get alot of playing time and they finished off the shutouts. They held Burg to 128 yards thats pretty impressive for anyone to do. KEEP WORKING HARD AND TAKE IT ONE GAME AT A TIME.

i agree , these are amazing stats. lights out defense , not only that . but when your jv's get that much playing time, itr only makes your team deeper, more playoff ready, and more experienced for the following season. great job, coach tripp, and staff. hope you all go all the way. ytb.

I believe the varsity gave up 7 to SP, 7 to Chesapeake, 6 to Minford, and 7 to Burg. Great D.

The JV and Freshmen teams also went undefeated and slottered most opponents. The future is bright.
