Just curious.

Aaron White is injured. Has been nursing a non kicking leg hammy problem from soccer and sprained ankle last week in PE volleyball.

As far as Craigmiles jersey issues go, apparantely #1 black was not turned in a couple season ago and #22 white is missing as well. I believe I heard someone say that a #22 white is on order.

Oh and it looks like calpreps was right on this game at 35-7. I picked it 34-7.

Not a great showing by the Pirates in this one but they got the job done. 400 yds rushing is pretty good. After getting to a 2 TD lead Burg seems to relax a bit. Has in all 4 games this season. 2nd qtr seems to be a challenge for this team.

Burg must cleanup the penalties and turnovers. Also the Pirates must work on the pass a bit more. When Greenup stacked the LOS the safety was 7 yards off the ball. Work in an audible and toss either TE a pass over the top for a TD. Burg did adjust and started running the QP and HB stretch to the outside successfully.

Greenup had an outstanding offense and I was impressed by the QB and receivers and their pre game drills. Very detailed in fundamental footwork and routes. Shows in the game as well.

This was a good test for the Pirates against primarily a passing team. For the most part Burg did ok. Need to make a few adjustments with the DBs to clean this up. Not much you can do with a 1 on 1 matchup with the WR and CB. Comes down to being in the right position when the ball is thrown.

Thanks for the answer Buldog. I figured he must have been injured since he wasn't kicking. Nice to see that Leach can step in and do a very commendable job.

Did anyone else notice that after the announcer for Greenup disagreed with a referee call on the first play or two of the second quarter and announced the referee by name, there was only one more call against Greenup the whole game and it was an off-setting penalty. Do they do that a lot there: announce the referee who made a call by name from the pressbox during a game? ;-)

He also named a burg defender by name when he was beat on a long pass play.

Well, he is one announcer that will never have to be worried about being accused of being unbiased. ;-)

I did hear him say Brandon White punted the ball and made a few tackles, amazing since he is four hours a way! -LOL!
