I walked away from this game thinking that Minford doesn't have much offensively besides Compton. 3 wide open receivers missed for sure TDs in the first half.

Defensively, Minford was in the right places but they just didn't tackle well.

Good luck to the Pirates. I'm with a lot of other people who think last year's team was much better, but this team is still very athletic.

When they face the first offensively balanced team in region 19 that can pound the ball between the tackles, Burg is in deep trouble. Very weak stopping the inside run and they were torched deep on several pass plays.

I am okay with her being new and trying; however, when you say Minford hasn't won since 2004, I have a problem with and am not even from Minford. The article seems thrown together at the last minute and there was no research for the article of actual FACTS. That is what bothers me about the article. It doesn't take that long to look at Joe Eitel.

American media outlets not using facts? When did that start happening? Besides, you really think she knows about joe eitel's site? Blame the editor my friend. She's making like 25 grand a year, what do you expect?

I doubt she even makes that.

If she does, she is severely overpaid!

Had some wide open passes I knew was going to connect at some point.

Minford had 125 total yards going into 4th qtr with 40 rushing on one play. The play action bit us a couple of times. If those passes are timed better then minford scores another, butburg kept minford in long distances.

Wheelersburg was the better team tonight. Minford did hang tough and never quit. It's nice to see a game where the refs left the guys play for the most part and not filled with flags and turnovers. Good luck to the Pirates, I'm sure I will enjoy traveling to see a few playoff games hosted by the Da Burg.



Minford needs to put this behind them and regroup for Waverly. West gave Waverly everything they wanted and I think Waverly's star player(Harris ?) may be done for the year. I'm predicting an upset in Minford next week: Falcons 20 Waverly 19.

Thought minford played well on D. Burgs #4 seemed to give burg a spark on there 2nd scoring drive, he ran good and extremely hard all night. Just my opinion here but I think that kid needs more touches, not necessarily from the qb position, but that kid might be better than anyone on this team running the ball.

He is good but the burg has a ton of skilled kids that run hard. I like 4 in that package. I guess a good problem to have.
