anybody that was at the gallia athens games knows that athens was very luckey to leave memorial field with the win we have'nt complained we congradulated you and moved on.I mean after all you are just a Tvc team lol you left the SEOAL

Remember the state does not appoint teams to leagues you have to be invited and voted on. At this time i think GA would have a tough time getting admittance to the TVC. I mean that 7 win Bball team is really scary!

No offense to N-Y, but the last thing GAHS needs is another D-4 or smaller school on its football sked. GAHS already plays 3 D-4 schools (Wellston, Ironton and Portsmouth). Not sure when the contracts with Wellston and Ironton run out, but GAHS should look for other D-3 or D-2 schools to replace them. Portsmouth can't be helped since it's a SEOAL opponent. IHS-GAHS has been a long-running relationship dominated by Ironton. Might be time to give it a rest for a few years.
I think N-Y and GAHS would be a good matchup and a FANTASTIC gate whether it was played in Nelsonville or Gallipolis. Both schools travel well. The GAHS crowd that went to Licking Heights was great.
Kudos to both programs. Two good ones with solid coaching and good kids by all accounts.

I agree that Gallia Academy vs. NY would be good, but to not play Ironton would be a mistake and a big hit to the athletic budget.
