Re: Week 3: Gallia Academy (1-1) @ Wellston (1-1)
Sorry to hear this. Rick went to high school with my dad and I've had the chance to meet him on multiple occasions. It's never easy to lose loved one - I wish peace for the Perdue family.Keyser_soze78 wrote:Please keep Rick Perdue, Wellston's play-by-play radio announcer, in your prayers.
Late in the first quarter of the game on Friday night, he was informed his mother had passed away.
Understandably, he left the broadcast booth.
Thoughts and prayers to Rick and his family at this difficult time.
Rick is a very kind, caring Christian man.

I hope wellston learns from this game that everybody that is left on the schedule won't be as big or strong and good as Gallia and they can make a run at the tvc title!! Go rockets!!! :122249
BUT YOUR 1-1 AGAINST THE TVC!!!SO Whats does that say..To tell the truth wellston more than likely will finish around 3-4 in the TVC OHIO...

you can say whatever you wish the TVC knows the mistake it made letting Athen in thats why they would'nt let Jackson in a few years ago. what are you gonna do when the SEOAL dissolves in a few years and these teams get in the TVC . where are you gonna run to then ? everyone knows why the TVC was formed so let it rest

OMG! The Devils are so mighty!!! They scare everyone in southern ohio!Mighty Mighty Devils wrote:you can say whatever you wish the TVC knows the mistake it made letting Athen in thats why they would'nt let Jackson in a few years ago. what are you gonna do when the SEOAL dissolves in a few years and these teams get in the TVC . where are you gonna run to then ? everyone knows why the TVC was formed so let it rest
Remember the state does not appoint teams to leagues you have to be invited and voted on. At this time i think GA would have a tough time getting admittance to the TVC. I mean that 7 win Bball team is really scary!
The biggest problem is arrogant folks such as you keep everyone hating us!

Re: Week 3: Gallia Academy (1-1) @ Wellston (1-1)
No offense to N-Y, but the last thing GAHS needs is another D-4 or smaller school on its football sked. GAHS already plays 3 D-4 schools (Wellston, Ironton and Portsmouth). Not sure when the contracts with Wellston and Ironton run out, but GAHS should look for other D-3 or D-2 schools to replace them. Portsmouth can't be helped since it's a SEOAL opponent. IHS-GAHS has been a long-running relationship dominated by Ironton. Might be time to give it a rest for a few years....I do know for a fact..NY Can play with gallia...i think it will be a better series than gallia may think..
I think N-Y and GAHS would be a good matchup and a FANTASTIC gate whether it was played in Nelsonville or Gallipolis. Both schools travel well. The GAHS crowd that went to Licking Heights was great.
Kudos to both programs. Two good ones with solid coaching and good kids by all accounts.

Re: Week 3: Gallia Academy (1-1) @ Wellston (1-1)
I agree that Gallia Academy vs. NY would be good, but to not play Ironton would be a mistake and a big hit to the athletic budget.
