Be honest, this disdain many of you have is not about leagues, divisions, or how much you feel sorry for the other schools in the league. It's simply about Athens. The reason I say that is because whether Athens is winning or losing they are the topic of conversation. When WINNING the talk is they are too big, they don't belong, they have advantages, blah blah blah. When LOSING the talk is jabs and shots about how they can't compete with the big dogs....
It will never end. If Athens goes all the way to the state finals it will be because they have OU coaches kids and that's not fair. If they lose in the districts they will be laughed at because of their weak schedule. The disdain for Athens is amusing, like a bunch of crybabies whining about getting picked on at the playground.
I don't think anyone cares bud. If you want to know so bad I'm sure they probably have them hanging on banners in their gym. This same garbage was spewed Trimble's way in the early 2000's. Even people from Logan and Athens were joining in on the fun. Then when Wahama came into the league people, including those from Logan and Athens, cheered "FINALLY!" "Someone to challenge Trimble's weak schedule."
