Week 5: Nelsonville-York @ Logan
Re: Week 5: Nelsonville-York @ Logan
I did drive by at at the start of the 3rd quarter and couldn't believe all the empy seats on the visitors side, did they actually start leaving that early or just not bring as many as expected?
Re: Week 5: Nelsonville-York @ Logan
This is what I have been trying to say! The coaches have loss control and all needs to go! Good Job Buckeyesbuckeye_nut wrote:NOONE picked the Buckeyes to win by this margin. Logan quit!!! thats all there is to it. Coaching is horible, those Logan players just wanted to get off the field in the first half, and on fourth down, Logan calls a timeout....are you kidding me, came back out, threw an incomplete pass and gave the Bucks the ball back........As for #62, Calib Branson, cheap shot after cheap shot!!!! Wouldnt have him on my team, dont care what kind of athelete he is.......Good Job Buckeyes!!!!!....Logan, you have problems!!!!

They started to leave early and also they did did not show as well as I expected! Just like the Logan Fans!C-Bolt wrote:I did drive by at at the start of the 3rd quarter and couldn't believe all the empy seats on the visitors side, did they actually start leaving that early or just not bring as many as expected?

No, we were told to expect a huge crowd. Nelsonville fans underwhelmed the bleachers. For no farther than it was, I can't believe more of them didn't show up to rub in what was going to be a N-Y victory.C-Bolt wrote:I did drive by at at the start of the 3rd quarter and couldn't believe all the empy seats on the visitors side, did they actually start leaving that early or just not bring as many as expected?

Something needs to give. This is pathetic. 21 penaltys. Com'on Man! Coach is an ego maniac. Kids dropping out of program like flies to play soccer. No discipline. No will to win. No confidence. No leadership. Starts at the top! However, the stadium looks really really good. Thanks, school board...we will remember your decisions or lack there of!

Re: Week 5: Nelsonville-York @ Logan
I have to agree with Bucknut on #62. He was getting beaten badly all night and I think he was taking out his frustration with cheap shots. Logan spent more time flapping their jibs tonight than they did playing football. He wasn't the only one. There were a lot of hits that I would classify as "cheap shots"
I thought the NY fans turned out tonight in respectable numbers and most of us were still there late into the 4th quarter. We weren't packed in by any means, but did you see Logan's side? It was by far the most poorly attended game by home fans that I've ever attended anywhere. I would like to know what the attendance was tonight. It couldn't have been even half (and probably closer to a quarter) of what they were expecting. Now don't forget, Logan's visiting bleachers are probably bigger than our HOME bleachers, so the crowd may have looked smaller than it actually was. Put that same crowd into Boston Field and look at it and it would look quite a bit larger. Also, considering how massive Logan's home bleachers are, I would be willing to bet that you could have fit most, if not all, of their crowd tonight into our visitor's bleachers (Not counting their large, outstanding band!).

Did Boston really say earlier this week the only good thing in logan is the band? As far as the logan crowd I couldn't see it from the road side but don't doubt a bit it was low, been that way for awhile now since they moved into that new stadium, only time its packed is when lancaster comes to town for that first game.

YEP you know it's over when all they can talk about is the band and the size of the crowd

C-Bolt, I am not aware of the source of the comment that Coach Boston was supposed to have made so I can't speak with any authority on it. All I can offer is that it doesn't sound like something he would say and certainly not to the media. I don't think that I have ever heard him degrade another team like that. He's not one that would want to give another team that type of bulletin board material. But, on a lighter note, their band IS quite awesome.
