Bet the heat hurt them both in many ways. Glad to hear that there was no heat illnesses. See anybody cramping up Bolt? Tried to give ya a ring again.

No but Circleville had a couple leg injuries to linemen that looked serious.Logan had about 10 or 12 players not suited up it looked like. The heat wasn't that bad, when the sun went behind clouds it felt pretty good with a breeze blowing, when the sun came out it was pretty hot.Restroom was like walking into an oven.Lost about a pound of sweat in there lol

See KW out there? Bet it was hotter than the devil down on the field. Just too soupy and wilted not to be with all they're gear on too. I just took my cat cold fresh water for the 5th time today, it still feels like a greazzzy mess out there. I know I couldn't have taken it out there. Been an EMS driving away with me, in route to the ER.  No breezes here, its been pretty dead and pure misery. Be glad when this stuff gets out of here.

cbolt your right. The O line might as well have been on the side lines on a few plays. Circleville get blew the gaps up. The running game was good but the inexperience of the line shortened some of those runs. Defensively it was a little better. Other then 3 or 4 big gainers they held. The linebackers looked to be a little quicker and the D line got some push into the back field. The DB's need to learn how to get better position on the ball so they can intercept some passes. As a whole though defensively ....... tackling, tackling, tackling, tackling, tackling, tackling...... but IMO they played way better then the offense. The JV team was really impressive! By seasons end I would bet we see some of those younger players taking some Varsity positions if things keep up.

Look to see how much they improve with Sheridan coming up. Inexperience can be cured with good quality scrimmage opponents early. I still look for them to be decent again this year. Patience

For once I agree with Paladin, practice, coaching, and scrimmage will help BUT it will be a rough first 3-4 games! I look for the Chiefs to get younger by the end of the season! As far as the heat if they are hydrated it is good to have! most teams will be in good shape because of the heat!

Game experience will help youth but Coach will have to coach up . Logan will always have good atheletes , but it will take time. For sure the effort will be there !!!! Go Chiefs!

Logan has a tough schedule but they will win more games than they lose.
I think Burk has the program moving in the right direction.
I'm starting to get the feeling Logan will start reloading every year instead of rebuilding.

Nelsonville-York is close to 50 for all 4 grades this year. That's pretty good after numbers were down the last couple of years.

The article in the local rag the other day sounds like Coach Burke is concerned with all the youth and rightly so. The Chiefs should show improvement starting with games 2-4 and should finish up with breaks at 5-5 or maybe 6-4 with luck! The Chiefs will have a good test tonight!

Good luck to the Chiefs on the upcoming season. There will be tough games but that is what makes you better for the next . Play hard and smart . Playing that way will eliminate mistakes and will turn games into wins .Stay injury free and Go Chiefs!!!!!!!
