NY wins 14 - 13. Will Ryan Adams sleep? Two years in a row an interception costs him the game. Why throw the ball? I hope he was wearing dark pants, cause fecel matter does stain. Way to go Buckeyes. The intimidation factor continues in the TVC Ohio.

Great game by both teams. I am sure this is just the first of many in the TVC Ohio for these two teams. Athens has nothing to hang their head about. Kind of hard to see either team lose. Good luck to both on the rest of the season for both.

Hey, I'll eat the crow. Athen's and everyone in the stadium probably knew what was coming the whole second half with Arnold eating up the clock and they couldn't stop it. On the other side, the offense was non existent after halftime. Also, way too many penalties by Athens.

I'm just messing with ya... If I were serious.. I wouldn't post a South Park pic :-D[/quote]

Both interceptions set up touchdowns. That second one with time running down in the game is a crazy call, don't know if the coach can sleep tonight !!!!!

Difference is, Athens starts 9 seniors, NY starts 3 or 4. Athens may never get this chance again for several years. If I was an Athens coach, I would definately be hanging my head right now. If I was an NY coach, I would be on cloud 9.

Congratulations to the Buckeyes. Turnovers were the difference in this one, Athens had 3, N-Y had 0. Great effort by both teams.

Meigs 33 - Alexander 28 (Nobody wants to claim the Ohio division, let's have a 3 way tie) :)

Nelsonville DV Athens DII? Why through the ball???? My goodness. With the teams we play we should be 10-0. We still need to get Federal Hocking and Wahama off the schedule and add some stronger DII teams. Sad loss for the bulldogs.

Last week Alexander complained about the refs and now a guy on the radio from Athens complaining about the refs.

Congrats NY on the big league win!!!! This win should send NY to the playoffs regardless of what happens in the Ironton game, provided NY beats Vinton County in Week 10.

With Meigs win over Alex, Meigs and Alex both have two league losses and NY and Athens have one league loss each.

NY has Vinton County remaining. (And Ironton as non-league).
Athens has Belpre remaining. (And Wahama as non-league).
Alexander has Vinton County and Wellston remaining.
Meigs has Wellston and Belpre remaining.

Most likely scenerio........Athens and NY co-champions. But stranger things have happened!

First off officiating had little to do with the outcome of the game. The officiating in this game had some questionable calls both ways, these are high school refs we're talking about. If they were better they would be doing college games.

I agree the radio just needs to hang up on at the first mention of anyone complaining on refs. Save it for the water cooler on Monday.

Next year, this becomes the Week 10 Game!

2008 and 2009 have been great matchups! Each school is becoming the others top rival!
