I hope there is not a divide going forward between those who believe Wolfe got a raw deal and those who feel three years is enough time to sense an improvement in the program. Logan will have a new coach. That has been determined. We should all wish him success and support the program. The kids deserve nothing less.

The few that have said this coach would be good--do you think he has a chance coming here and if so why.

Right off I don't know much about him.
Coach Carter has been at Johnstown Monroe as head ccoach since 2004 and has a record of 66-25. At Johnstown he is the AD and dean of students. He lived in Nelsonville until the age of 12 then moved to Waterford and graduate from Waterford in 1982 and from Otterbein in 1987. He stated coaching at Westerville North then at Ohio Wesleyan and at DeSales and Head Coach at Johnstown since.

This is a brief overview of Mike Carter.

Can't do it. Not a Logan man! Don't think he could live up to the expectations. Maybe he could assist Dale!

Job is posted until the 21st. Interviews probably wont take place until after the new year, as I can't imagine them being held the 26-27-28 or 31st or 1st.

Would guess the earliest you'll have a coach named is the end of January, that would be enough time for two rounds of interviews. Pure speculation, but an educated guess based on the known timeline.

I hope they have one by the end of January. The superintendent probably won't look at names until after school comes back. Then he and probably Janey will do the first interviews, then the ha principal and the principal of the building he will teach at if he is not at the ha will also be involved. I also would not be surprised if the school board would want to interview the finalists. It could take until February before we get a final answer.

I have heard whoever gets offered the job it may be one they cannot refuse. Assistant Dean of students with teaching lifting classes in the afternoon.

I have heard 4 names from talking to people in the area.

Heath Hinton- Head coach Circleville
Wade Bartholomew (spell)- Head coach Huntington
Mike Carter- Head Coach Johnstown
Sean Arno- Head Coach Alexander

I believe the best choice would be Wade, he would bring an exciting system to Logan football. He took an impossible job in Huntington and developed something from absolutely nothing with no help in hiring of assistant coaches. I would love to see what he could do with the resources Logan has to offer.

But the pattern has become that administrators are going with head coaches not from the area of the school. Will be interesting once the interviews start.
