Hey Army; do you agree with me concerning our passing game. Also those big hogs on the line need to do a better job with their blocking and give Caleb a little more time. Just my opinon. GO CAV'S REFUSE TO LOSE!!!!!!

Gahs4ever, if the Devils aren't currently "thinking" playoffs, then they are likely the only top 4 team in their respective region in the state not doing so. They are in a very good position in that region, with no one team appearing to jump out like a Westfall, Bellaire, or Ironton have in the past, and the points all being very close in the top 10 or so spots. The reference was simply made out of respect and a compliment to the kids and coaches through 6 weeks thus far. Gallia is without a doubt the most "overachieving" team in the SEOAL this year. Fairly sure the pre-season media poll had them picked maybe 6th,7th, or 8th?? It is a true testament to the kids and coaches who didn't buy into the "we're gonna have a down year" philosophy. They must truly believe in themselves and their coaches, and regardless of what was thought of them by pundits before the season, that is a dangerous team. Besides, you must be the one person in Gallipolis that is at least "aware" of where the Devils stand after week 6... you posted such on the SEOAL playoff thread. Chilly would be making a grave mistake to overlook Gallia. Good luck to both teams, and Go Cavs!!!

We'll need to have a better offensive performance this week than last week to stay in the game.

Our defense is where it ought to be.

scooterdawg,

I would like to see a little more passing too. Hopefully, by season end, this team, our CAVS will be a ready to mix it up with the spread and run game in week 10. With the line executing perfect protection.

Lamont Cranston,

Great Post :!:

I don't think our CAVS will take Gallia Academy lightly, especially the way this series has been played the past couple of years.

One game at a time CAVS :!:

This team is not taken Gallia lightly. The Cavs are out making a point to the non believers of this football program. If you have looked at the the previous games they have been close. This team is tired of losing, and want to be winners, you can tell by the way, they have been playing here in the last few weeks.Be honest with you, I wouldn't wanna face this Cavalier defense right now, it's a very physical bunch of hard hitters.

scooterdawg,
I agree with you 100% on the QB.Being in the stands and watching the open receivers not getting the football and watching one receiver benefit from the passes.I'm not taking anything away from Mr.Knights,he needs to look at the whole field, while passing the ball and quit being one dimensional QB.I guess my question is if we can see it,I'm sure that the coaches gotta see it.Maybe,we just got spoiled his sophmore year, with Givens,Steele,Mallow and Blankenship at the receiver spot, all of those receivers got the ball thrown to them.To me you have according to the program 6'4" Benson,6'4" Smith and 6'5" VanVoorhis that's alot of tall receivers.Heck the Tightend Ramsey at least 6'3" or 6'4".I'm waiting for a 300 yard passing game with a 200 plus rushing night,I know the Cavs are capable of doing that. The line needs to protect Knights on his passing game alot more, and create more holes for young to run through, thats alot beef on that O-line.One thing is the kids are winning and they are having alot of fun right now.If they can complete the whole package, whew!!! just think what they can do.Remember Cavs one game at a time, you boys have come along ways here all of you and not just the senior class, the sophmores and juniors that play the game.I see that they made Jt Gray a Captain there way too step up JT GRAY.

Gallia only scored one TD on the Trojans, if their Offense doesn"t show up for the Chilli Game, this game will be over quick

Better to win ugly than lose pretty...case in point, our beloved BROWNS!!!!!

I truly hope you are right 86cavs... the kids seem focused and on a mission right now, and here's hoping it stays that way. One only has to look at Logan last week to know the possible consequences in SEOAL play if you don't play your best every friday. The D has definately carried Chilly since league play began. Was really glad to see one of our best tacklers and (in my opinion) best pass defender on that side of the ball alot against Ironton... Caleb. Hopefully this will be the week the Cavs put it all together on BOTH sides of the football. Gahs4ever, point was, you have to admit ANYONE who is at #4 in their region after week 6 and has an ounce of hope at playing in week 11 at least gives the playoffs a "thought"... and rightfully so. At this point of the season, and in that position, it should also be one of the team's goals. Go Cavs!!!

I agree,I also was glad to see caleb on the defensive side of the ball. The thing is now is playing your best Athletes on defense. No knock to the younger players at the defensive back but caleb is experience back there.Yes! he might be the QB but guess what you gotta play him.Caleb will tell you he wants to play defense.I think coach Metzler will do the right thing by playing Caleb more on defense. Both teams coming in at 4-2 friday night in Chill-town,you can not take any team lightly from here on out.If we beat Gallia,we can pick up alot of points for the playoffs or switch it around thats alot of points for Gallia to pick up.It will be another hard hitting game.Coach D and the gang will have these kid's ready to rock'in roll for friday night.Remember one game at a time!!!!!!!!!!!!

PRIDE HIT AND DESIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats one thing,I'm starting to see is the pride in the kids, the hitting been so hard pads a smack'in and the desire to go out win the football games.
GO CAVS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU KIDS CONTROL YOUR OWN DESTINY IT'S HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT..............

I think our CAVS are contining to hone there skills for all the right positions as each week goes by. You can see the glow in their faces and the confidence building among the kids. I know we have been spoiled by our passing game over the years, we might get a treat to some of that, if our CAVS are able to open up on some of these games we have left on the schedule. But, first at hand, is Gallia Academy. A team the CAVS must and will be prepared for. This game between these two respected SEOAL Schools is usually one that is a great game to watch.

One game at a time CAVS :!:

GO CAVS :!: :-D

dowgg, I believe Josh played outside LB on defense.......

After seeing both teams play, I gotta believe Chilli has to be a big favorite in this contest.
