I'm not sure Wellston can win this game but I'm not counting them out either, they likely just saw the most complete team they will face all year and can only learn from those mistakes.

Wellston didnt show up friday night with much of a game plan at NY....but after that being said they do have some talent if they could just fiqure it out this friday night. Im sure they can pull the upset....just my thought i know there hungry after the big blow out at boston field...And if Alex comes into this game with a big head and let"s wellston put up some points early. They might just get Alex thinking wow i guess we did play a weak Schedule...But im not trying to say alex is weak and dont have talent im just saying i would watch it if i was Alex. Because wellston can play some good ball when they are fired up and playing well....but bash away at my post lol I DONT CARE!!!!

Glad to see SOME improvement to the facilities, however our reserves played at Wellston on Monday. The fence was placed too close to the field which is a risk to players and the chunks of sod were flying all over the place. Appears that the sod was layed down kind of late and has not taken root yet, again could cause an injury.

Look for this one to be a great game, possibly a down and dirty dog fight. Would not bet on this one. Keep in mind that the Prater kid has been recruited by Northwestern.

well alex is one of the elite few.
6 wins and still on the outside looking in.
i think only 5 teams in the whole state have 6 wins and have not broken the no. 8 spot.

Think much? If so, I would consider doing something that may serve you better.
Alex's point total puts them in the top eight in all of the remaining D V regions as well as two of the D IV regions.

D V, Region 19 is historically stronger than D IV, Region 15. In fact, two years ago, NY had more points than Alexander, and Alex made the playoffs in R 15, but NY did not make the playoffs in R19.

You could not be more incorrect NY96. Ny could play the same schedule as a DIV team and win the same games as them and NY will have more points because you get more points for beating a higher level school. The points do not mean as much. So if your saying that the region 19 champion could beat the region 15 champion over the past few years then I would have to say you could not be more wrong again.

I'm saying that in terms of making the playoffs, the 8th seed in Region 15 usually has fewer points than the 8th seed in Region 19. Recent examples -

2011 - Centerburg - R 19 currently in 8th place - 7.13
2011 - Indian Valley - R 15 currently in 8th place - 6.21

2010 - Coal Grove - R 19 8th place - 16.90
2010- Coshocton - R 15 8th place - 14.80

2009 - Caldwell - R 19 8th place - 17.90
2009 - Alexander - R 15 8th place - 15.25

2008 - Ridgewood - R 19 8th place - 14.75
2008 - Bishop Hartley - R 15 8th place - 14.56

If Ny played the exact same schedule as a d 4 team and they both had the same results they would have the same points. The points are the same for everyone whether d1 or d6 beating a d1 team gives you 6 points d2=5.5 d3=5 d4=4.5 d5=4 and d6=3.5. He never said the d5 champion would beat the d4 champion all he said was the reg 19 8th seed usually has more points then the reg 15 8th seed. These points probably dont mean much to you at 1-5.

Actually you are incorrect, you get a set number of points for beating a team no matter what division you are in.

Win over D1 school 6.0 first level points

Win over D2 school 5.5 first level points

Win over D3 school 5.0 first level points

Win over D4 school 4.5 first level points

Win over D5 school 4.0 first level points

Win over D6 school 3.5 first level points

It doesn't matter if you are a D1 or D6 school you get the same base points for beating a school at any level, there aren't any "bonus" points for beating larger schools. Second level points are figured in a similar way though much more complicated. So N-Y could play the same schedule as a D4 or D5 and their point total would be exactly the same.

Second level points arent hard to figure out either. This is just an example. Nelsonville beat Logan week 5 Logan was o-5 at the time so we didnt get any second level points off of them. The next week they beat Galia who is a d3 school so we got 5 second level points since we beat a team that beat another team. That is why its better to beat a 7-0 d5 team rather than an 0-7 d1 team.

Yes I see the point about the divisions but u cannot defend a comment by listing two teams from the region and saying one is better than the other.just because a team has more computer points does not mean they r better.
