You can't improve unless you are constantly pushing yourself to get better and it is hard to see Logan being really motivated to "get up" for this one. Ironton and Zanesville loom and they will allow Logan to test itself within but I just don't like two snoozers in a row. Sorry. Gallia is a great program with great tradition but I'd rather see a little more incentive for Logan to perform this week. One week "off" is enough.

I fully agree with your opinion. However, the problem the Logan administration ran into is that many schools in Ohio are playing league games weeks 4-10 which makes scheduling much more difficult. Everybody in the OCC are playing league games starting Friday, along with the Mid-State League.

That leaves Logan with a LONG road trip one-year or a TVC team. Two years ago I would have certainly chose GAHS over a TVC team from a competitve stand point.

I don't think anyone is going to overlook Gallia Academy. Memorial Field is a formidable place to play.

Logan knows this is another opportunity to keep improving. I think we'll see another step forward on Friday.

We got throttled by Ironton ,I know.
But we are not down talent wise,we are attempting to learn and execute 1920's football.
Our boys will hit and play as hard as any team, but with this system it is hard to compete with the Logan's and Ironton's right now.
Please don't sell us short on heart or talent if we play mistake free football we could give Logan a scare.

Logan closer than the experts think 35-GA 20

GO BLUE!

Gallipolis has talent, and they are learning a new system. But it is a system that can be VERY dangerous when executed properly.

Well i I know what the system is and can be,but i should have said we are executing and the playcalling looks 1920ish.

Logan big. It's not about execution or learning a new simple system it's about the fundamentals. The previous staff banked on a few star players to make the difference in those winning years. Without star players anymore it's going to take eddy awhile to teach the kids how to block and tackle! That's what is going to take some time to teach.

I hear you and point well taken, but it has a lot to do with who we play now opposed to who we played say 10yrs ago. Our present day Schedule has no Warren's, RV's,Point Pleasant's on it. They were replaced with much tougher games.

Oh no, I wasn't reflecting on the administration or the schedule. I was just saying I wish this game could maybe come into play later in the season. In a perfect world, Logan would be better served by a more challenging game this week. Maybe Gallia will provide that.

Logan will pull the starters early to play the backups and give them play time( so the domination continues next year). I wouldn't look for a big score like the " sportsmen" down on the river ran up on Gallia. Rest and a win are in style.

Any ideas on parking for this game? I plan to get there early so I can get one of the 50 or so visitor seats.

4ever -

Hope you can make it.

I always enjoy visiting Memorial Field. They are great hosts and I have some good friends there.

Also, I'm excited and happy for Ron Janey who will be inducted into the GAHS Athletic Hall of Fame this week. That will put Ron in both the Logan and GAHS Athletic Halls of Fame. Pretty darn impressive!!! Congrats to him!
