Re: Nelsonville-York Stadium ?
The majority of fans that I spoke to last night ( and I spoke to a lot) were very happy with the facility. Many of theWB And Fredricktown fans said they hoped someday to have a facility like ours one day.
So the the NY posters on here that are defending our facility, no need to. Fans from both sides were in shock and awe by how nice the facility is. Now, bathrooms are an issue. Hopefully that will be the next project. I will definitely b there to help
with the construction of that.

Probably more porta potties on the visitors side would have helped. There was only 5 and most times, women won't use them. Can't say I don't blame them. Looks like if you increase the size of the womens restroom would help. When I went to the concession stand before the game, there was about 30 women waiting in line.

I went to the game last night...and I as last year...really think they have nice facilities...I am glad that we are going to be on the home side...however...there needs to be many more bathrooms...there was a line all game long for the women...stretching back thirty feet...Concession's are good...people are friendly and helpful...the field is beautiful...and the game last night was great...just wished for the local guys from burg that they hadn't sat on the lead and just won the game...really a poorly coached game from my vantage point...the team played their hearts out...even with the poor coaching...they almost won the game...and should have...just didn't happen..

I do think that you will be stunned by the amount of people that will be there tonight. Ironton brings alot of people, even more that the Burg does. I read on SEOPS that Heath travels well also.
I believe you will have alot more complaints tonight, especially if alot of people have to stand and have to wait for the restrooms.

Bathrooms were a problem, and I am sure that will be taken care of for tonights game. I to was very proud to have hosted last night as fans from both teams seemed to really enjoy playing at Nelsonville-York
There are a lot of people working very hard who deserve a lot of thanks for helping make these games happen. From the people parking cars to the parents and students working concessions, and everyone else.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad everything went so well as NY hosted its first ever neutral playoff game! It sounds like the number one complaint was restroom facilities, which can easily be corrected for tonights game by bringing in additional portajohns. The long term solution will be construction of additional restrooms. Remember, NY still is in the process of upgrading facilities. I am already hearing that NY does plan on building additional restroom facilities as the rennovation project continues.
Considering this was NY's first ever neutral playoff game, it sounds like things went great! Now the NY folks know what needs tweaked for future playoff games. Boston Field has arrived and we will no doubt see many more neutral playoff games hosted at Boston Field in the years to come.
I'm just proud that a small community like Nelsonville can gather enough volunteers to host such large events. And as NY's rennovations continue, our facilities will only become all the more outstanding.
Perhaps additional permanent seating will be added in the coming years. There is one thing I do know......there is nothing that NY and the Athletic Boosters can't do when they set their mind to it. Look at how far our facilities have come in the last five years alone!!!

Re: Nelsonville-York Stadium ?
Ive said it all along...NY has the NICEST field in all of Athens county...and the TVC! Other than bleacher size..i think NY stadium is right up there with Jacksons. Plus as its already been stated...NY isnt done with the renovation!! Good job to all of those who support the Buckeys and make it possible for the TVC to have such a field represent us!!
Re: Nelsonville-York Stadium ?
I enjoyed the game and the people did a great job putting things together...I hope there is enough seating and enough bathrooms...other than that...I believe it will be a great game...Go Tigers...
