The AD is the reason all of this started. If she didnt mess up the paperwork then none of this would be going on. She does not deserve an apology from anyone. Luckily OHSAA is generous enough to NOT take this out on the players and give the school a fine.

Game starts at 7:30. It's senior night. Congrats to the football team, coaches, parents, administration and the community for staying strong and making such a concentrated effort to help right this wrong. So proud of everyone for staying calm and presenting a united front to our elected officials and OHSAA.

I am sure nobody feels worse about it than she does.

Thanks to the private schools that actively recruit the inner city kids, this type of stuff happens when a player has a legitimate transfer and every "I" is not dotted and every "T" is not crossed.

It happened to Minford a few years ago and instead of 9-1 they went 8-2. The AD at the time is a great guy and just made an honest mistake. With the amount of transfers that the OHSAA receives paperwork for every year I am surprised it doesnt happen more often.

Congrats to Eastern, at least everything was straightened out.

The way I read the OHSAA new release is they still will have to forfeit the 2 games because the proper paperwork wasn't submitted when he participated in the games, and he is now eligible to play with the proper paperwork now being submitted to them. When I checked Reg. 23 points they are still 10th, 4-5 record. If the victories were restored they would of corrected the Region 23 by now, one would think!!

koda30....It is indeed quite possible that the joeeitel site will change the standings to show 6-3 when he updates all of the rankings after tonight's games. ;-)

Either way, the OHSAA standings will show the change back to 6-3...or 7-3 if Eastern wins on Saturday night.

OHSAA flip flop like Mitt Romney.... ridiculous. This should not have been announced until final decision was made. Good news for Eastern though.
