Easy fix on this one. You received a ticket stub from the gate. Turn it in and collect from your employer like the rest of us do when the expense comes out of pocket. If you cant do that itemize it on your taxes if you are self employed along with your gas and vehicle you drove to the game.

Let me put it this way, I am confident I spend 10 times as many hours a week working on the trivalleyconference.com web site (which is NOT a social media site) - and the site is even named after the league - but I still pay to get in everywhere I go. (unless I'm covering the game on the radio).
Scores, articles, stats, individual team pages, photos ... etc ... etc ... although I try to do all that - and spend countless hours working on the site - I still consider myself 'independent' or 'self employed' media personnel. I wouldn't even feel right trying to walk into a high school gymnasium and asking them to get in free.
I'm actually floored that someone would even ask for a press pass for posting on a social media site. If anyone "deserved" such a thing, it would be PFLOYD! That guy has been covering high school basketball and doing recaps either for jjhuddle or preps for over 12 years now and has NEVER asked to get into a high school gym for free - or asked for a 'press pass.' Then again, Pfloyd is one of the most honest and honorable gentlemen I have ever come across too.
