Where can two good ole boys get a few drinks in us before we go watch Jutsy give Mike a VIKING BEATDOWN! Jutsy has been talking for the last few weeks about how they cheat in Pomeroy as well as recruit his best players and he wants some revenge.
I hope VC does give them a beatdown and tell them to go for two when they get up by a bunch. That's what Bartrum does, but when those freshmen grow up he will get his favor in return.

Yea yuck it up boys, but when 6-8 starting freshmen become jr's and sr's you will get a payback 10 fold. Mark that one down.

Maybe Nelsonville should've just stopped them when they went for 2

Meigs by 14 or more.

I agree, maybe Nelsonville should stop crying and start keeping people out of the endzone!

Maybe you should tell the AD to quit ducking us and call so we can play.

It's so comical to see you NY fans whining about this when you gladly ppounded Meigs in a similar fashion last year, and run the score up on anyone you can. We are suppposed to feel sorry for your program? Bunch of hypocrites. If they are good enough to play on your varsity team, why should anybody take it easy on you? Shut up already.

I know your fishing for praise here but all go ahead and stroke your ego cause its well deserved. The answer is NEITHER cause Athens could name their score on either
I wasn't trying to fish for praise for Athens, our egos don't need stroking, the Bulldogs have gotten plenty of that on their own and from many sources. I was trying to give credit to two teams who deserve it due to their play on the field so far. Some people on here feel as if they need to thump their chest or be negative and point out the cons of a team, program or league that they don't cheer for but, I am not one of those people.

Meigs went 3for 4 against ny, the only team to loss was the 8th grade, I think that's a start of something good, jv won Monday 43-8, 7th grade won 36-6, and 8 th grade got beat by 30, but a good week for meigs football

to motivator, I didn't know there was a state law that say's you can't go for two, better read up on my laws. heck forgot this is football and I think you can do that when every you want, quit your crying, I remember back when ny went for two against us and it was ok, but we can't do that against them, maybe we should give ny a ticket for going for two back when the were beating meigs all the time.

VC has struggled against the pass. Its no secret. They MUST figure something out or Meigs will do what Gallia and Alex did. The key for VC will be to let their big backs run and chew up the clock. They've been very solid running the ball on anyone this year. Even in the two losses they have rushed for a lot of yards. This could potentially be another instant classic like last weeks game, or if VC can't figure something out defensively, it could be Gallia take two.

Woody Hayes was once asked why he went for two while up multiple scores late against Michigan and he gave my favorite football quote of all time, "because the wouldn't let me go for three!"

Per Trivalleyconference.com power rankings..

#6 Vinton Co. vs #4 Meigs

A win by VC could push them into the 4th spot. A win by Meigs could get them some consideration for the number 3 position.

Totally agree with what Dundas said!! If VC can shut down the pass, they will come out on the winning side. If they don't, based off what I have read, we will see the same result as Gallia!! Let's go defense!! Let's go Vikings!!

2nd place in the TVC Ohio on the line tonight. Its been years since this game was meaningful for either team, let alone both! Good luck Vikings!
