Re: Week 6-Portsmouth West (2-3) vs Waverly (4-1) SOC2
This is Waverlys game to lose. They need to come out focused like they have the past two weeks and in week 1. They can't take any games lightly at this point, especially this one. If the Tigers play their game and limit mistakes they will be fine, even if Shanks and Zeke don't play or are limited. Hopefully they come out and take care of business early and can rest some starters. But everyone knows that West will play hard and come to win. The Tigers D will need another solid performance and need to keep building on their progress from week to week. West seems like they will run the ball a good bit, so hopefully we will see a much better defensive performance against a run heavy team then we did against Unioto and ZT. I know they played well last week, just hope we don't regress.
Good luck to both teams and hope for no injuries either way. Will be a nice and cool evening to kickoff league play.

Waverlys 2nd and last game on grass this year. Will that matter - it didn’t seem to matter at Fairland.
The Tigers should be as healthy as they have been all year. Shanks’ status is game to game but for everybody else Waverly has injured players back and getting better by the day. I’m not aware of any players out now.
I am sure Waverly is aware West will try to drive it down their throats and eat up clock. Can Waverly stop them and get the Tiger Defense off the field? The Waverly offense should be unstoppable but we’ll see what West throws at us.

Shanks came out before halftime and all JV players played for Waverly in second half. Waverly’s JV’s pretty much ran the ball up the middle every play, taking play clock down to 2 to 3 seconds. Second half didn’t take long. West starters scored on the Waverly JV’s.
Stats when I get them - Shoemaker was over 200 yds rushing (first half), 3 rushing TD’s and a pic 6 (2 INT’s).

Can’t wait to see Waverly and Burg in a few weeks. Also, better get West this year and next cause they got some serious talent coming up next few years.*
