Then so be it. For some schools that don't have JV teams, the 2nd half of games is the chance for the other players to get playing time. Going to practice your 9th and 10th grade years and not playing is a reason for many kids just to quit and play another sport.formerfcfan wrote: Mon Oct 14, 2019 12:22 pmI’m sure you’d find that, if it came to that, the vast majority of coaches (say, 80%) would still agree to run it. And, probably half of the instances where a coach decides to dick it up and refuse would result in the losing team just walking off.Mister Bee wrote: Mon Oct 14, 2019 10:56 am I don't like it. Let the coaches decide during the game if they want a running clock.
Coaches that think their manhood depends on running the score up don't need to be coaching. Granted, there are times when the other team is just so bad that scoring on them is very easy it can't be helped then those are the times both coaches agree to run the clock.

If you’re getting beat by 30-50. It’s time to go home and get better ! It’s called big boy football. It’s not participate trophy time They’re no longer 5 to 12 year olds. It’s tough but too bad
