I still think my 32 team super conference is the way to go!

I really do not care what Logan does because they will be fine, along with Jackson, no matter what.
But if the TVC did go to a 3 division conference a big division should be
Athens
Jackson
Logan
Marietta
Warren
the travel time here isn't that bad...Marietta to Jackson might be the longest and it was done for several years. It might be only five teams but it would leave room for the TVC to add bigger schools to it. No need to have cross over games in football unless the two bigger schools in the middle division would play the top three in the top division and the smallest division would play the smaller schools of the biggest division. This would make the TVC 2nd to no one in southeastern Ohio.

In football some of the smaller school could compete with any of these teams. Over the last six years Trimble and Wahama could have beaten any of these five. A lot of these games would really be money makers.

If the TVC won't let Warren in they sure as heck aren't going to vote point in.

Point won't go to the seoal because they would be the 4th team and who wants to schedule 7 non League football games every year. You may as well be independent.

But....... Their is room for them in my 32 team super conference.

The TVC told warren Logan Jackson and Gallia that they weren't looking to expand. If they tell point anything different there will be twice the backlash. IMO, if the TVC we're going to add another southern team, it should've been Gallia. The TVC will however have another chance to go to a 5 team, 4 division format which I am in favor of.

Only an hour and fifteen minutes or so. Went there 2 years ago I think it was for a scrimmage. Better than some of our 2 and 3 hour hikes that we go on.

Portsmouth already travels to Gallipolis. Point Pleasant is right across the river.

The SEOAL alignment above might be the most likely scenario.

I'd like to see an 8 team SEOAL come out of this with:
Athens
Jackson
Logan
Marietta
Parkersburg
Parkersburg South
Point Pleasant
Warren

Obviously it's very unlikely to happen, but it'd be interesting. Even a 6 team league would be pretty nice with:
Athens or Parkersburg South
Jackson
Logan
Marietta
Point Pleasant
Warren

Although I don't think Athens will be coming anytime soon, and Parkersburg South may be content with their league setup even though their shortest conference game is longer than a trip to Jackson or Logan. There also would probably be a concern about the size of Parkersburg that might keep them out although Point Pleasant and Warren play them both annually and I'm sure Marietta would love the short trips across the Ohio.

Poo Bear's 5 team scenario is definitely most likely if Point Pleasant would apply for the SEOAL and if they can bring back Marietta from the potentially declining ECOL.

My thought is Point to the SEOAL

Point Pleasant
Logan
Jackson
Warren
Ripley
Park South

3 WV and 3 OH teams. Just don't think Athens or Marietta leaves their leagues unless they are asked to leave.

At one point, I was in love with the idea of Ripley to the SEOAL, then I looked at their football history, if I remember, they went .500 once in the last 14 years and had 3 wins or less each season the other 13 years. Ripley to the SEOAL would be sending them to the slaughterhouse. Most games against Point Pleasant, Parkersburg, and Parkersburg South were 50+ point blowout losses. The only thing good about Ripley is their location (their longest trip is an hour, 20 minutes to Logan).

I always thought the SEOAL should be:
Athens
Gallia
Warren
Logan
Jackson
Marietta
Parkersburg
Parkersburg south

Athens and gallia are gone forever
So the Seoal could make this happen with a little luck

Warren
Logan
Jackson
Point pleasant
Marietta
Parkersburg
Parkersburg south

A very good 7 team league
This would require football to find 4 non conference games

How far is Marietta from park and park south?
How about from point ?

I'm sure Jackson and Logan are in ...

The other 4 teams would have to find it enticing

Also Warren, would Marietta and Parkersburg teams be close drives for them?

Looks like Jackson would have the longest haul but to rekindle the Seoal I'm sure they jump on that

....the Seoal will live on
