Ridgewood wins out easily. All 3 Strausburg, Newcomerstown and Garaway all lost to Malvern, Ridgewood beat Malvern 55-14. Strasuburg may not even make the playoffs talk about playing nobody look at their schedule the 6 teams they have beat have a 8-34 record, Strasburg lost to Malvern by 7. Garaway lost to Malvern by 20. And Newcomerstown lost to Malvern by 9

Great string of posts! First of all, WOOD is right - it's not the players' fault they play bad teams. All they're in control of is going out and winning the games - which they do. Last year they played a weak schedule and won the Region anyway. Strength of schedule doesn't make you a good team or a talented team.
On the other hand, a slip here or there and you're out.

^^^^^ true very true...A solid NY Team didnt get in at 8-2 last year. Last year me and my buddies watched Freddies& burgh outstanding game.I know without a shadow of a doubt NY would of stuck with either of those teams.. NY returnes most of the starters.I belive The winner of 19 will be banged up.and will be wide open.Lets get it on..GO BUCKEYES!!!!

Based on the really close games these two have had recently, and the fact that it is now a week 10 matchup, this one will be a HUGE rivalry before you know it. In a few years the 'dogs may just replace the 'cats as our mortal enemies.

I think the only thing certain in this region is Fredricktown will be number 1 after week 10, every other spot will have to wait until the final game is played on the regular season.

I believe that the top 9 teams all won this week. Lucasville Valley's win over Portsmouth West has to shake things up a little bit. Will be interesting to see where things stand come Monday....

Oak Hill's game against New Richmond will make things interesting in the standings.

That is way to much math to be doing this late.

I gotta disagree. I won't disagree that they are probably the team to beat in order to win the region, but if you look at the potential for points overall, they don't have the #1 seed wrapped up just yet. If I'm not mistaken, Valley has the mathematical opportunity to overtake them for the top spot if they can win out against Wheelersburg and Minford. Of course, that's a BIG IF, but it's still possible...which means the Freddies being a lock for #1 in the region isn't mathematically so just yet.

Well, another night of great football, but perhaps even less settled than last week. As Coal Grove fans knew long before last night, Valley is legit. They could win out, knocking Burg out of the playoffs and knocking Minford into a very low seed. Or they could lose those two and wind up out themselves. I think they go 9-1, knocking Minford down but allowing Burg to get in. Don't even ask me what the seeding will look like.

Around D5, Ursuline University took down the mighty D3 Steubenville Big Red 24-3 in Steuby. Big Red will likely contend for the D3 title.

Caldwell took down what many considered to be their toughest test the rest of the season in Fort Frye, beating the Cadets 34-7. Still have games against Zanesville Rosecrans and Shenandoah. I like their chances of going 9-1.

No doubt that every playoff team in 5:19 has their sights on a regional championship, nothing more.
